  • Thanks BEANIE and BUBBS,

I know I’ve done well this year, I was 200lbs at the start and now am 165 lbs. I just wanted to get a full 40 lbs lost, so 160 lbs by the end of the year. But I don’t think I’ll manage that with the festivities ahead! I’ll do my best til Christmas Day and then I’m having what I fancy on the day and will try to stay on plan for the rest.

Moneysaverme, 35 lbs loss is fabulous loss congratulations. :T:T:T:T:T

    What is motivating you?

I stuck to the 2 G&Ts last night as planned:A. A total of 10 syns yesterday as I forgot there was 1 syn in the faggots I'd made. Not sure what it was for but possibly cornflour to thicken the gravy! Good job I wrote that on the label before freezing.

    Today's plan:

    B - SW fry up
L - not sure but something syn free! possibly dahl or soup
D - pork ribs (very lean so only a couple of syns), roast potatoes, roast carrots, roast onions; syn free BBQ sauce

    HEA - milk as usual
HEB - possibly a slice of bread at lunch time for 0.5 and an Alpen Light for 0.5
Syns - couple for the pork ribs; not sure what else but if I fancy something to drink I'll stick with the gin:A.

Well done on your loss msm. I know what you mean about rewarding yourself with food but at least you're doing it after a loss and with 105 syns in the bank. Cooked breakfast is a good choice. It can be very SW friendly although I never trust sausages when I'm out.:)

That's real dedication msm. It must be freezing prancing around in front of the garden mirror!

I'm looking forward to a day pottering at home today and I'll do some cooking as well as make dinner as usual. I want to make some dauphinoise potatoes for the freezer as we always enjoy that with gammon and duck. I'm also going to make either a crustless quiche or a frittata for my lunch and snacking. I may make some turkey meatballs too. I've also got ironing to do. That's basic stuff but also my fancy lace tablemats/napkins and I'll iron various decorations (sounds odd but I've got a number of ribbons and stockings to do) ready to put them up tomorrow or Tuesday.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L: frittata/quiche with pickles
D: HB steaks (mushrooms and onions) with roast potatoes, carrots and BNS, red cabbage, cauli, broccoli
    Syns: weekend wine!:xmassmile

    Hi everyone,

Could I join you all again? I gained 10% my body weight in a month at the beginning of the year and haven’t shifted it. I know SW works so keen to get back into it. I’m not really a fan of the group format so MSE is much more up my street :j

Well done to all those who are losing in December!

Another day and another party for me. Going to try and be good and there are healthy options. Just wondering is it rude to nap during a party?

Maman - do you make a "proper" dauphanoise or a lower fat version? I also love it (although extremely disappointed with the one I had in France on Wednesday! - it was extremely dry).

Hi Jemma . You're very welcome to join in. You might find it helpful to post your menus each day and we can point out anything we spot which may affect your weight loss. We can also help with up to date syn values - which may be different to what you've used in the past as lots of things have changed recently. Particulary things like granulated sweetner being synned now if you use more than a Tbs per portion.

Decided to use up some leeks in the fridge and made leek & potato soup for lunch but didn't have any bread so no HEB used. May make some baked oats for pudding later.
