  • Hi all,

I’m at home today so am just about to make SW caramelised onion soup. I’ve not made it before but fancied the recipe when I saw it. Onions are meant to be anti-viral or something so it will be good for me at this time of year. Tonight is Quorn roast with potatoes and lots of green veg.

I had that ‘light and slim’ feeling this morning so got on the scales and they are moving in the right direction again. Yay! I went very off track for a couple of weeks due to continued crappy circumstances but have managed to pull things back in the right direction.

During my ventures into non-slimming world land there was an entire bottle of baileys, a couple of bottles of fizz, endless mince pies, several take always, copious amounts of chocolate etc etc. You name it, I ate it :o. However, it is surprising how quickly just a few good days back on plan can reverse the damage.

I’m being exemplary until Christmas Day and will hopefully be a couple of pounds down by then.

Good luck to all at this tricky time of year x

Hi gang, I'm back! I didn't intend being incommunicado, but chaos is reigning chez greentiger..

Hope you're OK? Good to see you posting. Obviously chaos isn't stopping you sticking to SW. Well done!:T

Christmas party 1 down. Total syns consumed......0!

Yes that's a big fat zero. Zilch, nada, nowt, nil, nothing.

Off to polish my halo before I lose it tomorrow :)

Well done! I almost managed it too, ate mostly melon, raspberries and pineapple. I did try a pea shoot snack (just one) although they are about 75% peas just seemed like a skinny green monster munch. Yuk! Then I ate 2 crisps then....I moved away from the table!:D

Well done on exemplary behaviour msm.:T
    Just ate.

    Todays food has been

Breakfast: 1 boiled egg, 1 slice of ham (thin), 2 carrots.
Lunch: 1 boiled egg, 2 slices of ham (thin), 2 carrots, 3 tomato
Just ate Tea: broccoli, carrots, peas, swede, mince and onion... I was starving and trying to not return to the kitchen for more!

That looks very much like a SP day. Did you have all your HEXs? Good luck with fitting into all your holiday clothes.:)

I put the LO beef in the SC last night and made bubbs version of braised beef. I had a quick taste and it seems delicious. I'm going to have half for my lunch today. I'm sort of road testing it to see if it might be a recipe DH would like. Lots of cheap, large beef joints around at the moment so I might get some to carve up myself for the new year.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: braised beef (carrots, onions, BNS, mushrooms) with cauli, broccoli and maybe some tinned potato
    D: SW spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: syrup 2, extra porage 6? maybe some parmesan

Actually it's not Parmesan it's Grana Padano which I thought I'd try but it's tasteless so easy to avoid.

Next challenge will be due to finish late February/early March as they tend to be 8 or 9 weeks long.

9 weeks will get me nearly there... :D:D:D

I am really competitive and hate failing... as bubbs is aware!

Most of my food diary is like this with the addition of fruit, yoghurt and some bran flakes for my HEXA and B, but last night I did not get home until gone 9.30 pm. I was going to not eat, but thought that it would not be sensible to skip a meal, but I could not face pudding. I got on the scales this morning (only to be nosey - it is not weigh day) and had lost 2 lbs since last weigh day on Sunday. We are walking tonight :(:(:(

I hope the bubbsbeef is the really bubbsbeef - which means extremely cheap lean beef on very special offer in Asda at the moment!

    Afternoon everyone.

So, I failed in a rather spectacular way at the buffet last night - hats off to Kathryn for her will power! Nothing sweet, just savoury stuff but all pretty synful. I had a good night though and line drawn for the rest of the week.

Today's menu as posted yesterday. Should end up on 5 syns for the day which will go towards making up for the excess yesterday.

Sunshinemummy what a great incentive for your weightloss!

Thanks, it is the only thing that actually motivated me.... ooh and the fact when he did a surprise video they recorded me... I had worked 20 hours a day for 3 weeks solid... I looked like a bit fat blob of poo....I swore blind I would reduce my work hours which I have done, and then with the engagement and flight, I would loose weight.

With the 2 lbs that just sneaked in with the crafty weigh in...I have 20 lbs to go to make it to 11 stone 13 lbs..... that is a heck of a lot of weight.

I am working from home today. OH has just told me that we are going walking at 5 pm, so we can be back for 7 pm and football god knows how far he will make me go today... he occassionally talks about the golden 20,000 steps!

If he carries on being mean to me, I may make the weigh in... but I may also be single!

Not managed to be so good today

This lunch times meal wasn't quite as good as planned. I was feeling really light headed and my blood pressure was a tad low, so I needed to eat something salty and drink something, so ended up having thai prawn crackers dipped in soy sauce, and drank j20 instead of planned water :(

And still got tonight's party to go

Enjoy your party kathryna . I'm surprised that J2O is only about 5 syns for a bottle. It's so sweet I thought it would be far more.

The beef was lush bubbs and I have a portion left.

Hadn't looked up the syns for j2o, and yes I expected more than that. Thanks maman.

I think I could argue that raising my blood pressure was more important than sticking to plan, and can't do anything about it now, so line drawn and moving on
