  • Hi All, Just joined SW and need some help. I went out for dinner tonight and thought I picked well but not sure I did. It was a Japanese restaurant and I am vegetarian. I had two options - vegan ramen or veggie curry. I asked questions and picked the ramen as it sounded the healthiest (miso broth, dried noodles, mushrooms, silken tofu and veggies. But just looked at syns online and can't see a vegan ramen but some of the ramen on there are really high!

Thanks everyone and well done Beanie!

I'm ending the day on 10 syns. And have just whizzed up some soup in my soup maker for the next few days lunch. Preparation is key!

    Thank you :)

    Well done to all slinkies:T:T
I lost 2 1/2 and got my stone award
  • Great losses MaryH and Hollowhead!

I weighed in this morning with a 1.5lb loss. Mostly pleased with myself for sticking to plan all week - I've never had a full seven days on plan yet, so that was an achievement! That said, weekend away coming up now...

    Today's plan:
B - Carrot cake baked oats
D - Spiced carrot and lentil soup
T - Friend is making some kind of ale stew at the cottage
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Oats
Syns - Stew, chocs, crisps, prosecco..........

Have a great weekend all, see you on Monday! x

    Morning all.

Congratulations to the Slinkies! Very, very well done. Welcome newbies - some great progress already from some of you.

Well as expected STS this week - to be honest I'm lucky not to have a gain so that's fine - could have been worse! Apart from beer pizza and fish and chips:eek: I've been eating on the run a bit this week - I've been busy so planning and regular meals went out of the window.

It's my birthday this weekend so a few drinks and a meal out planned but around that I hope to stick to the plan 100% to try and get a loss next week. The house is full of goodies for visitors so they'll be encouraged to eat it all up - willpower still an issue for me around chocolate in particular!

    Have a good week everyone.

I must must must keep my foccus this am very skint at the week.
I want to loose at least 1 lb to change my front number & I had slighter lighter clothes on last night so as to look slightly more better presented than normal :rotfl:
It will be slightly more difficult as I am extremly skint.
Dont care what anyone says healthier eating is expensive.

  • Morning all!

Well everything was going OK yesterday until we went for food last night (btw if you get a chance to see Cilla then do so - wasn't expecting to enjoy it but very much did so) - had garlic bread & a few chips as well but I as I said I was driving so just drank soft drinks

I also at the theatre someone who I worked with years ago and the first thing he said was 'bl00dy hell girl you've lost weight' - cue me doing my Penelope Pitstop impression lol

Well Done Beanie & Miss Teach - bet both of you are floating on cloud ten!

Today is very much a damage limitation day - not sure what is on the menu but have a good day everyone
  • Well done BEANIE :T:T:T I'm delighted for you! I'm sure you can make it into that new stone bracket for next week, you sound so determined.

My top tip for a cheap free meal is my Mum's lentil soup recipe. Carrots, potato, onion, mug of red lentils, veggie stock cubes (or chicken), salt and pepper. Cook it all up, whizz it if you like or just eat it chunky as I do. Lasts for days in the fridge. Warm and filling. I think I've talked myself into it, I'll make some tonight!

Well done Miss Teach too, I still am in awe of those photos. Great loss TETE, keep going and enjoy your weekend away.

    2 1/2 stone Hollowhead, that's brilliant.

SARAH I'm not sure about the ramen, I would have thought that is a healthy choice and even if it's not, it's only one meal out of many during the week. Maybe someone will have a better idea, sorry not much help!

GTS that's a great comment to hear, it's difficult to see the change in ourselves but must be obvious to those who don't see us often.

Happy birthday ESMY, enjoy your weekend.

I've hit the chocolate quite a lot this week and will be surprised if I get a loss. Tomorrow is WI so we shall see.
