Recently bought the set of Ready Steady Cook pans from Argos, they are good pans, however they are stainless steel and stuff does stick, I also have a QVC cooks essential non stick quck cooker and I find the non stick is amazing. Does anyone have any QVC pans and if so what do they think of them. TIA X0

A quick question for those with stainless steel pans - do you have any rust on them?
I invested in a couple of expensive Swift Supreme SG pans and after only a few washes on the dish washer I can see some bits of rust on the base of the pan. Never had this problem with my old Prestige Lifetime pans that are almost 20 years old so was a bit shocked to say the least. I haven`t contacted Swift about this yet but thought I`d check in if anyone else had this happen and would you consider it normal wear and tear?0 -
my pans
le creuset tri ply stainless steel. Top quality pans. Minimal heat and amazingly nothing sticks
lodge cast iron dutch oven and skillet
2 kuhn rikon pressure cookers
all absolutely fab and I love all of them. If I could only afford one pan then it would be a cast iron dutch oven. They use minimal heat to cook and are brilliant
I have completely gone off teflon after reading about the potential dangers0 -
Kittie, I'm interested by your experiences with your dutch pot. I bought one a few years ago but haven't really used it. My intention is to use it on a fire pit in the garden but we haven't got around to building the fire pit!
Do you just use yours in the oven like a normal cast iron pot?Piglet

Hi, hope this is the right forum. I want to invest in some decent saucepans and have seen both of the above brands on offer. Trouble is I'm not sure which to go, also does anyone know if you can put non stick adonised pans in the dishwasher?
Any recommendations?
Thanks0 -
I bought a set of circulon saucepans about 5 years ago.
They're still looking good and going really well - no warping on the frying pan!
I can't comment on the other ones, but I do know that I would buy circulon immediately if I had to replace the whole set - I personally wouldn't bother even looing around.
The only little niggle is that they don't stack together particularily well.0 -
Hadn't seen these pans before so I googled them just to have a nosey! Found this website about the Anolon pans which does state at the bottom that they should not go in the dishwasher.
Both look very nice though.0 -
I've had my Circulon pans for about seven years and I can't recommend them highly enough. They're fantastic.0

Hi Treacle:hello:Welcome to OS
Ill leave this on OS for a while, and one of us will move it to I wanna board later on. Sorry I can't advise myself as I don't own a dishwasher, and I've never bought pots strangely enough
Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.
Thanks:)

I went for classic stainless steel normal pans, supplemented by a non-stick one for sauces etc., and omelette/griddle pans..
I do find eventually non-stick does wear out, despite following all the rules, but the plain stainless steel ones carry on for ever, as long as you get good quality ones with solid handles.0
