not too sure - I usually put the pizza directly onto the oven shelf - I would have thought that pizzas would need a preheated oven, but if that's what the instructions say then....
I'm sure someone will be along in a bit with advice!0 -
baking parchment
thats what you need.....nothing sticks to it:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

I have those chicago town ones they are diff compared to cooking other frozen pizzas because the dough is not prebaked so you do put them in a cold oven and also don't just put them on a rack because the base isn't cooked it will seep all through the rack (personal experience). I put mine on baking paper on a baking tray. They are the best frozen pizzas though. My boyfriend doesn't like pizza so I have to eat a whole one to myself0

The chicago town pizzas are actually different now they must have bought out freshetta because they stopped doing those then the chicago town ones started being the same as the freshetta ones were.0

Yes I noticed that, I think they are the closest thing you can get to a proper Pizza bought out of a Pizza place. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Oh the Chicago town take away pizzas are the best frozen by far. Yeah they seep thru the rack.0

The baking tray will not be a write off. Just soak it in a strong solution of bio washing powder, at least overnight and up to 48 hours. It will come off.
I would also second the idea of using non-stick baking paper - the only place we can get it round here is Asda but generally, I just shove a pizza directly onto the oven shelves. If you're feeling really cheffy, I think you can get perforated, non-stick pizza cooking trays from Lakeland for that well-cooked bottom.0 -
I tend to put a baking tray on the bottom of the oven to catch any drips of melted cheese, tomato etc etc. Actually, I'm now a bit peckish....Won Mulberry Bag Jan 090

baking parchment as has been said - or treat yourself to a silicone sheet you can reuse
incidentally baking parchment is brilliant for frozen pies etc too - but watch out and keep it all level when getting it out of the oven!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
