Some kids are fussy eaters....I have 4 and one of them hates rice, potatoes and cous-cous! so im limited to what i can give him!!!! Pizza and pasta are his favourites and he is 11 now so therefore he can be hard to "trick":jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -
With them being quite small pizzas cut everything up small so it cooks properly in the short time it will take to rise etc, like you see on premade small pizzas, cook any meats thoroughly before putting it on. My boys love making their own. Sliced up cooked sausage, ham, pineapple, cubes of cooked chicken, sweetcorn, meatballs etc are firm faves here, clean hands and away we go....One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Well, we made them and they were definately a success.
I made some pizza dough and cooked it on its own, but it went all hard and dry so I couldn't cut Thomas shapes out of it. So............... we tried with thickly sliced bread, tomato pizza base spread on the top with some sausages and mozzerella. Took about five minutes or so to cook and at first he just looked at them but then he had a nibble.... and then a bite and then he was away with it.
He ate them all up.
I am so pleased that he ate something different:beer:
Thanks to everyone x0 -
Thats great. I'm so pleased he ate it all for you. It makes such a difference to our self esteem as parents to be able to feed our children things they will eat especially when it has all been home made.
Hugs

I am going to attempt batch cooking for the freezer this year. I was wondering does anyone make their own pizzas and freeze them? If so do you freeze them made up/cooked?May Grocery Challenge £254.16/£3200

by what I have read so far ...
alot of people seem to make the dough and freeze that, defrosting it before use and then adding toppings.
I assume this way takes up less space in the freezer0 -
Hi sharon,
I do as Auzelia suggested and freeze the dough. There's an earlier thread on freezing pizza so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.
This thread has lots of links that may help too:

Have one of the fresh pizzas (ham and mushroom) from Asda - it has been frozen and it says that this is fine on the label, but no instructions as to cooking straight from freezer.
Is it okay to just give it a few extra minutes?0
