Morning awwwwwww still have 4 days off from work :j busy day planned awwwwwww still have 4 days off from work :j busy day planned
just getting ready to go to the lottie for a couple of hours seems like ages since I've been properly! seems like ages since I've been properly!
Then have a meeting 2-4. Then a birthday party 4.30 onwards (adult's party but kids invited to the earlier portion) it's fancy dress so need to cobble something together....
 other than that -
 * all meals from stores
 * hang up washing & do another load
 * stay within budget for the month. So close but also so far! Have now £35 left for the month & still 2 social events...
 * work out what we will have for dinner today & tomorrow without buying anything. Easily doable but to fit with Mr DMS' tastes not so easy.... Might have to do a kinda of roast with rice as out of potatoes.....
 * finish socks
 * listen to audio book
 * list 2 things on fleabay - must start doing this as really need the money!
 * start a job application that needs to be in on Monday at 12. So literally have today and tomorrow when I can do it. I know oh needs the laptop as well.... Might have to dig my work laptop out and set up. Seems morally questionable :rotfl:
That's all! Happy days guys xDF as at 30/12/16

I'm having one of those days where motivation is sorely lacking and yet I have to go out.
DD is home from uni for a medical appointment. Before the appointment we need to call in at a relatives to drop birthday presents off. Relative is being a nightmare
Just fancy one of those days where I just don't want to leave the house but once I'm out and about all will be good. I can't get my car into the M and S car park and as I have vouchers and we will be nearby with DD appointment, going to pop in to get something for the new baby in the family. DM also wants a couple of bits picking up for Christmas and no doubt DD will pick up a couple of bits to go back to uni with her.
I shouldn't be tired as I had a good night's sleep but do feel tired.
All finances checked. Need to update spends book. Might do this while DD is in her appointment.
 Cat cleaning nearly done
 Presents to wrap.
Apart from cat litter and the spends in marks(nothing I need or want) no other monies to be spent today.
 RM survey to post today
ziggy I hope everything gets sorted with DM.
Have a good day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

            Afternoon all :coffee:
Busy couple of days - I'm pleased to report I'm feeling a lot better than I was, and have just been doing other stuff rather than spending time online - as opposed to sitting staring into space and overthinking things.
Today though is a PJ day - it's blowing a hooley outside and I don't fancy anything after a busy couple of days. I got up, showered and put a clean pair of PJ's on and am catching up on here while I'm waiting for the boys to go out to watch Sunderland lose at football (again). I have a little list of indoor things I'm going to do though - and sorry if I make you jealous of the pj day HK...
:coffee: Meal plan for next week - I went on a mad YS dash at Mr M yesterday afternoon and need to make sure that these things don't go to waste...
:coffee: Get through the washing - I have 5 loads waiting to be done after changing all the bedding and towels.
:coffee: Try and get some of my 'almost done' crochet finished. I have a lot on the go and nothing finished.
:coffee: Continue watching Walking Dead box set with dd
:coffee: May ring Sky and see what offers they have for us. DH will never bin them off so I think I'm overdue a haggle with them.
Ziggy - so sorry to hear about the issues at the hospital with your mum. It must be so stressful for you.
Have a good day all :wave:Not giving up

            Afternoon all
 Done so far:
 Dog walk
Big shop, Lidls and then Sainsburys, ugh, had to be done!
Put away shopping, which is even worse than buying it!
Packed 3 ebay parcels to post on Monday
 Listed 2 more items
Got some bits out of the freezer to use over the next couple of days
 Still to do:
OH's HMRC account to check after ambiguous letter (not worried about it, just a bore to do!) Done, checked mine as well, nothing owing :T (not worried about it, just a bore to do!) Done, checked mine as well, nothing owing :T
Find some items for my sales unit on Monday (it would be lovely not to have to do this first thing Monday!) Found lots of sets of glasses, so that can be my theme for the coming week. Hope some of them sell! If not they will sell on ebay, but it would be great to avoid all that packing
Maybe list a couple more things on ebay Didn't get to this
Some cleaning / tidying Hoovered the middle floor and lower stairs, filled up pretty handwash container with Sainburys own handwash, cleaned basins, loos etc, put some stuff away, watered and fed bathroom orchids
Another dog walk, unless OH does it! OH did it while I was cleaning
Cook something for dinner (from among the items that I got out of the freezer). Must get better at meal planning! Pork loin steaks, cabbage, new potatoes, apple sauce and gravy, apple crumble for pud
Chilly here, so will light the wood stove later! It has got warmer, so we saved the wood for another time 0 0

Evening all, a late check in for me today, my LO decided to only nap for 15 minutes all day, so I'm a little  at the moment! Glad to sat down with a glass of wine now! (Or bottle!)
I haven't really had a chance to do anything today, I've been into town as I had to get LO a Halloween costume for Tuesday, managed to find one in Asda for £6 so cheap and cheerful!
 This evening I plan to:
 - Check bank accounts
 - Meal plan for next week
 - List a few things on Ebay/FB selling page
Not a lot else, just chill out after a hectic day! Hope everyone has had a good Saturday! xDebt free once - Back again | Current debt: £2479.50 - January 2025 | Make £2025 in 2025 #11 - £41/£20250

Morning all :hello: not managed to post for a couple of days RL too busy. Was in bed at 8.30 on Friday and slept until 7.30 yesterday
Kept the faith though and have /will:

Taken a small portion of curry out of freezer I’ll take to work tomorrow

            Hi everyone
Purps - good for you on the mammoth sleep! :T
DNMS - defo get the work laptop out you rebel you :rotfl:
FVD - nice one on the extra sales :T
I'm up visiting the parentals. Did my own nails (as usual) and also doing mum's and saving her £18 apparently. :A Mum is doing my clothes repairs - taking up jeans, sewing a dress and a seam in a pair of trousers - I think I got a good deal. :rotfl: Also took on the role of IT support and helped dad sort out his phone
Met up with an old school pal yesterday. Hadn't seen her for years and was wondering whether it would be a bit awkward but we chatted non-stop for 3 hours - was a lovely wee day. In money saving shenanigans we didn't have a starter and there was no booze
Off to a pal's baby shower today... Made her a nappy cake as per usual - I'll post a pic on the FB group perhaps..if you're interested...?
OH went to the dentist yesterday and he can claim back his treatment from his work scheme so happy about that one.
I need to sort our YNAB for a couple of little bits  - sorted YNAB and space left over for a £4.93 PAD to cc :T
Not really sure what's for tea tonight - I'll either stop at M&S or waitrose services on the way back down the M6 or Tebay farmshop if I feel like I want to spoil us.
 Catch up soon my lovelies.
 Happy Sunday!0

            Morning folks
 hi katy_ann
ziggy - I hope your mum's care is sorted soon. My nan went into hospital with pneumonia a couple of years ago and they tried to discharge her in just her hospital gown! The ambulance men refused to take her until some clothes were found (mum doesn't drive and my uncle only has a motor bike so they couldn't pick her up.) The hospital also didn't tell mum or uncle that they were discharging her and took her home to a cold empty house!
Sorry for being awol over my weekend - it got a little busy. Mostly in nice ways though. Lots of meal prep again. I made the seitan from flour. It was easy and no more time consuming than making a loaf of bread by hand. I have nibbled some of the resulting product and I would say it's half way between a very firm omelette and fried tofu. It's kinda spongy. I think that chopped up small and stir fried it will be ok. Used 6 cups of smartprice flour to make enough for 2 people for dinner so total cost about 10p!
Today I'm back in work. Tired, and with a slightly muzzy head as had a few people over last night
The mission:- meals from plan - done
- work long day - done
- no drinks - done
- take bottle of wine gifted to me last night and add to sister in law's Christmas pressie - done
- reconcile budget sheet
- possibly crochet some of mother in law's Christmas pressie
- cuddle up with OH and an early night

I am also mulling over OH's suggestion that I attempt to write some sort of cook book. I was thinking that maybe some sort of Facebook page/blog might be better and easier?
I think that there is a gap for the type of recipes that I'd be posting... they would be mostly wholefoods (covered by plenty of folks), mostly fairly frugal (covered by plenty of folks) and have meal prep and macro information (also covered) but I am yet to see a page or blog that covers all of these.
I find that a lot of fitness meal prep type pages show 4 days' worth of identical meals and involve far too much sweet potato and plain chicken for my liking.
Do you guys think that a page like this would take off? Is there money to be made from something like this?
 Cheers

That's an exciting idea carrie. Erm in terms of is there money in it, I guess that would come in terms of advertising (I only ever google recipes now so never buy books etc) and you'd need a lot of traffic to start getting that. Pippilongstocking is probably a good person to ask as she has a long standing successful blog. Sounds an exciting idea!DF as at 30/12/16
