            Good Evening All
Yesterday was a write off as I went back to bed for an hour at 10 and woke up at 3pm, made a quick tea and then off to visit mum in hospital so I managed just the basics. Today has been a little better (I haven't been back to bed), my immunity is really low as woke up with a sore throat and coldsore - fab . Mum has been sent home, bit disappointed in some aspects of the care she's received - missed medication, ice packs should have been used for 20 mins every other hour and that was missed completely for a day and a half, we were supposed to have a visit prior to discharge so someone could see what is needed at her home but we've ended up hiring a high seat chair but am worried about how she will manage everything else (her bed is quite low) - her discharge seems extremely rushed, I'd had 4 calls before 11 and she finally arrived back at 5.15. I'm also worried sick about how she's to manage showering as she's not had one in hospital  Today's small things . realised my mobile phone contract ended in august! sorted out a new sim only deal (hope the phone lasts..) for double the data/calls/texts for £6 a month cheaper
found $24 left over from trip, converted to £16 and did a bargainous shop last night, which feels like it was for free
noticed a refund from amazon hadn't been paid in yet, rang them, it hadn't been processed so got that sorted.
lesson learnt- keep my eye on the ball more!0

Good one on spotting the refund, Curlytop12. Yes, these companies are sure to sit on our money if we let them!
 Morning all,
Oh, what a morning, I've been swearing like a docker at having to withdraw a big chunk of our Emergency Fund to pay off my CC. Why have I done this? Well, after an expensive summer for essential stuff breaking & having to use our 'first line of defence' savings, I then had to pay for my astronomically expensive new glasses on a CC, thinking I would budget hard & be able to pay it off in a couple of months. Today, however, I tuned into Reality FM. With other expenses this month, that balance is going to sit there a lot longer losing me money from interest charges, so I decided to class actually being able to see to drive properly as an emergency & to transfer the money from savings. Booooooo! And *&%**@~*!!!! , but it needed paying & I can now get on with my budget properly. Today's list:
 *Pay-day so reconciled October's budget & set November's.
*Paid one CC in full, the other one with the glasses on will now be paid in full as soon as the bill arrives.
*We are off on holiday soon (cottage already paid for) so worked out all the expenses for that & tried various little budgets on paper to find the best way. Decided to finance it by using that week's £50 grocery budget for our food, increased our monthly personal spends budget from £60 each to £100 each, then added in an extra £50 cash (which would normally have been paid into our Holiday/Leisure Savings Piggies anyway) which will go in the cash bag with the grocery money. We have found on previous holidays that a cash economy works best for us as can track so easily what has been spent & what is left. I remembered to budget for Cat's boarding fees while we're away too.
*BIg filing/admin session, including replacing banking info with new leaflets T&Cs, etc, received this morning. Updated budget spreadsheet with new home insurance amount.
*Did a few surveys but not many around & not really in the mood.
*Entered a prize draw. High time I won something, but to be fair, I have done hardly any competitions recently.
*Read energy meters & uploaded them online.
*Switched heated towel rails off. Those towels will be changed for new dry ones later so no point wasting money drying stuff that's headed for the washer.
*Found small bowl of cauli in fridge doing nothing. Blanched & froze it.
*Two nice hot baths from one lot of water. (You can tell I'd like a rebate on our energy bill next year, can't you?!)
 STILL TO DO:
*Bake cheese scones to take to Mum's tomorrow.
*Finish big house clean, using minimal products & washable cloths. Made a start yesterday so not much to do.
*Pop down to greenhouse to cut some rocket for tonight's salad.
*Make coleslaw, which will use up last of carrots & cabbage.
*Try to finish my sock, which didn't get done yesterday as we ate late by the time I got in & I read the Guardian ap & flopped in front of the TV instead.
*Finish tiny shopping list.....just the very few things we need between now & holiday.
OK, that's my day. Oh, I'm mad about having to go into our savings, but I think I was unrealistic about being able to afford to pay off those specs with so many other expenses flying around. Feeling positive about sticking to November's budget. If all we do on holiday is beachcomb, walk, wildlife-watch & sit by a real fire, that will be fine by me!
 Love to all,

Afternoon all hope everyone is having a good day! Haven't done a lot today, took LO to the park, made drinks for us both but forgot them so had to stop and buy 2 drinks, £2 but that was my only spend today and still out of my weekly money so all in budget
Came home and had some lunch and just put LO down for a nap, quickly updating on here and then going to do a few quick jobs!
Other than that today I will:
 - Check bank accounts - Done
 - Check Ebay sales - Done
 - List things on FB selling page - Done
 - Find other things that are no longer used/needed that can be sold to make some pennies
 - All meals from home
 - General daily tidying/hovering - In progress
 - Wash LO bedding - Done

            Evening all
Day out today at a local attraction where we have membership - took a picnic and the means of making coffee and tea. Only spend was fuel, plus some biscuits OH bought at the filling station kiosk, Brought most of the biscuits back with us
 Apart from that:
Finalised shopping list ready for tomorrow
 Sold 3 ebay items
Received a £10 gift voucher from the pets club I belong to at the vet's (paying monthly for things like injections, flea treatments, wormers etc, works out cheaper than paying individually). I can use this against any of the food, treats, over the counter products etc that they sell.
Stew out of freezer for dinner, along with a jacket potato
Wood stove is alight as it is chilly here this evening. An early night is beckoning I think - was quite late back from babysitting last night!
Ziggy, hope you can get a proper care plan sorted out for your Mum. What a worry 0 0

            Hi everyone

Ziggy - thinking about you my lovely. Hope you get all the support you need for your mum. :A

            Evening all!
It sounds a nightmare, Ziggy, time your brother started shouldering his fair share of the responsibility.
Nothing very moneysaving for me today as I bought lunch (but saved some of the coleslaw for tomorrow) and dinner tonight was a bit of a buffet made from a mixture of reduced things from work (quiche, sliced meat, cheese) and stuff to go with it (bread, crackers, pate) but I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow.
I've had the heating on briefly to take the chill off but it's off now again and I'm wrapped up in my dressing gown instead.
I got paid today from old job and new job. I got more than I expected from old job (no idea why) and less from new job (no tax code yet) so it all sort of evened itself out.
I bought stickers today to sort out all the various receipts for job number two, organisation isn't my strong point but if I label each pocket in the plastic file (free from old job) for different areas then it should be less daunting than one big, mixed up pile and, looking on the bright side, it's all tax deductible!
I had two more sales from job number 2 today (so five in total now) which isn't much at all but it's twice as many as yesterday and if it carries on like that I will be delighted!
I had my 4 week review at new job yesterday and it went very well, my boss is most pleased that I seem to have fitted in well with all the existing staff and she thinks I'm super confident (when actually I'm just a super good actress!)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
 December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
