Hi everyone :hello:
Sorry for disappearing off the face of the Earth for the past few weeks. I won't bore you with the detail because I'm bored of it all myself - suffice to say that my mental health is trying to destroy me. My anxiety is all over the place and I've been getting myself in a flap about everything.
Still, I'm on half term now, and after a couple of days of physical illness I'm determined to take some small steps to getting myself back on track. One of the steps is to get back onto posting on here again, so here I am. I have a massive list of things to do over this week so am starting to get going with stuff. I've spent a fortune on takeaway and snack food so my main objective is to do more food prep and less grab and go.
Also need to get some of my many crochet works in progress finished - I always seem to start stuff then leave it almost finished. Christmas is looming so I need to get on with that soon.
Hope everyone has been ok on here while I've been gone. Not giving up

Here's my list:
~ check sw@gbucks - claimed a £5 amaz0n voucher;)
~ check onepoll and investigate old survey sites I've neglected
~ meals from plan today - tonight it's meatballs and pasta
~ dd1 has taken leftover thai curry for her lunch to work and made dd2 a ham bagel to stop her buying
~ washing is on the airer - might try some of the bulkier bits on the line
~ list a few bits on ebay
~ housework - I've left lots until half term as it's my week off...joy:p
~ transferred £50 into my bank account from [email]P@ypal...ebay[/email] earnings
~ no heating on
~ use up some slightly old courgettes in soup
~ NSD:D
That's all I can think of for now.
Hope all having a happy day:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Crazy_cat_lady - take care of yourself this week.
I'm on half term too....and started my break by feeling ill on Friday afternoon:o It took until last night to really feel vaguely normal, typical.
I'm returning here too...though my break has been longer;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Frugalistas,
Another day of just small things while I continue slowly letting go of the horrible stresses of the last few weeks. It seems to be working. While I am finding it hard to believe I'll never see my Dad again, I am feeling noticeably less stressed, & even catching up on stuff & starting to feel organised again. So, today's bits & pieces:
*Bake bread rolls & pizza (dough is happily proving in its bowl)
*Two use-it-up items will be used in pizza topping, as well as a tin of super-cheapy anchovies (which I love) from A*di. Am making coleslaw to go with it (you can get so much lovely chunky coleslaw out of one modest white cabbage) & will cut some rocket from the greenhouse.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & work snacks.
*Finished this week's laundry. Weather forecast was for big rain which hasn't materialised & that's quite annoying as I put all the wet washing on the heated airer when it could easily have been pegged outside. Never mind, I've been working at the dining room table this morning & having the heated airer on has meant that I haven't had to turn the little stove on, as it's toasty warm.
*Did a couple of surveys.
*Have cracked on well with my bullet journal. Have prepped pages up to December 2018. I shall continue this afternoon adding other pages for various things & will start the index. I don't think my coloured pencils have done so much work for ages!
*Knit. Tonight's target is to pick up stitches for the foot & get all the shaping done & make progress knitting down towards the toe. Start thinking about next project. I have another ball of this lovely sock yarn in a different colourway so I might knit myself two pairs. I'll see. I've finished all my Christmas present knitting.
NOT money-saving.......will need to replace our water filter jug. It broke rather dramatically this morning. I picked it up & the handle broke off, bringing a broken piece of jug with it. I'd only recently topped it up & water went everywhere. In fact, you wouldn't think a large jug of water could spread so far! Finally got it all mopped up. Cat came to see what was going on & watched me clearing up with a face which simply said 'You loser'. I actually said to him out loud.....'No you're the loser, because you heard me open the cupboard to get out emergency old towels for mopping up, & thought it was your dinner coming out, which it wasn't, so ner ner!' In case you think I'm losing it, I do talk to him all day when we're in the house by ourselves.
OK, I need to go & inspect the bread dough then get on with bullet journalling.
Nice to have you back CCL - So sorry the anxiety levels are rampaging. Treat yourself as kindly as possible & try to arrange a bit of chore-sharing so that you don't spend all your half term break doing jobs.

P.S......DNMS - What a nuisance about the Dyson. Defo worth opening a case. A friend of mine did this with a difficult buyer & although it took ages for a resolution, ebay did eventually find in his favour, so I'm glad he persisted as he was absolutely in the right x2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (46/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg

Hi everyone,
Thinking of you, CCL.
Not a NSD here unfortunately as needed to get some food in. Pleased to be on target with my food spend this month and also hit my October NSD target yesterday. Must increase my NSD target for next month.
I'm on call today so hoping to get a lot of things done around the flat.
Today I will/have:
*[STRIKE]check accounts[/STRIKE] done - very thankful for Yolt as it makes it so much easier to see my accounts in one place
*[STRIKE]quick clean[/STRIKE] done - pleased with my efforts and really helps me to focus when everything is in place
*[STRIKE]clean shower screen[/STRIKE] - done
*[STRIKE]bins out[/STRIKE] done
*[STRIKE]food shopping with list[/STRIKE] done
*[STRIKE]post couple of letters[/STRIKE] done

Significantly Not As Described.
At least I think that's what the S stands for, DNMS
I've put six things up on the bay of e and have a watcher on two of them already so fingers crossed. I also took my cards into a local card shop for an honest opinion of what I should be charging and I have left some with them to trial at £3.99. They also gave me the numbers for a couple of reps/agents in the area. They were really helpful and it seems people are prepared to pay more for cards for occasions such as weddings and anniversaries than birthdays so I need to start thinking along those lines.
I splurged on a box of my favourite seashell chocolates, I feel slightly sick...Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

((Hugs)) CCL
Take care of yourself
Feeling a bit more human today, but still not done much:
Read meters and entered readings onto Ovo website
Listed a few more bits on ebay
Sold 2 more items
Sowed lambs lettuce and rocket in pots in my little greenhouse
Harvested chillis and composted plants - sometimes I can keep them year to year, but they have not been great this year, and look half dead
Stewed some apples
A few surveys, will check again
Might have done more, but DD turned up with little GD this afternoon, and she was upset because she had argued with a friend (GD, not DD :rotfl:) so lots of grandma cuddles needed

1LuckyLady This has made alarm bells ring for me, his losing things might actually be his items are being taken by bullies
