Morning all :coffee:
Thank you all so much for your kind words and caring - I really do appreciate it. :grouphug: I'm just so fed up with myself and feeling the way I do at the moment. Unfortunately having no luck at all getting a doctor's appointment (and I've been trying for 4 weeks), and I don't consider it to be an emergency as there isn't a quick fix here.
I had a reasonably productive day yesterday - a few bits ticked off my big list. I'm still not 100% physically either so trying not to get too much done and tire myself out even more. Today I'm forcing myself to go into Sunderland but taking dd with me for added security (what a wimp) as I have a cheque to pay into the bank and some round pounds to exchange. I also want to get all of my marking done and finished today. If I properly sit that should be less than 3 hours and I can stop thinking about it. At the moment I'm just enjoying a cuppa and catch up on here and trying to relax a bit. Then my massive list will look better with loads more crossed off
CLF, hope that you're feeling better soon.
Lots of love and hugs to everyone that needs xNot giving up

Thanks ccl - I'm feeling a bit brighter after a couple of paracetamol.
I know what you mean about it not being a quick fix, but I think that after 4 weeks of waiting, it qualifies as an emergency - the MH waiting lists are so long after the referrals that it's probably best to get back in the system xxLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

Morning everyone....
I’m enjoying half term...I’m still in bed:o I have a coffee and just finishing my book, then I’ll get up! I have put some washing on as I saw the glorious weather and couldn’t wait;)
Here’s my list:
swagbucks and onepoll to check
maybe ring stepchange - I entered all my details last night (as I expected, more out than in now:o) so I need to be brave and ring to see what I can do.
get the washing out in the sun
dd1 is off work and wants to go out so might just have a wander round town and she said she’ll buy me a coffee;) so will use my costa reward card for some more points
Park a bit out of town as it’s free and walk...good exercise:D
meal from stores tonight - maybe a £1 meals special of chicken katsu curry, yum:)
check ebay listings and stick a couple more bits on for sale
That’s all for now!
Happy Wednesday:jI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
PixieChick, we seem to be leading a parallel life out the moment, staying up late, sleeping late and more outgoings than income!
Despite all this I am going to buy a new vacuum cleaner today after saying I wouldn't
I do really need one and the hairy carpet is depressing me. I dumped the old one at the recycling centre at midnight last night, I feel guilty but my car is too tall for the height restriction.
I need to go to the post office and then to the town that has the vacuum cleaner in stock. I will be passing through another town I've not yet done for Job Spotter so I will make sure my phone is charged and stop on the way back.
More washing to do.
Leave the back door open as the celery in the garden smells amazing and floats into the kitchen.
Breakfast was instant soup and lunch will be mushrooms and tomatoes on toast. I am out for dinner tonight so will cover some nachos with cheese and a tin of chilli for DS.
Have a good day all
PS Re talking to cats, my favourite to my fat one is 'hello, where's your sister, have you eaten her?'Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Morning Money Savers,
Another day where rain was forecast, but actually it's bright & sunny. Boo to wrong forecasts!
I need to spend a bit of time on a political project later, which I hoped to have done by now, but due to everything with Dad, I just couldn't put the time into, so it's a small money saving list, but still shows I'm keeping it real:
*Bake sourdough loaf - dough is on its first proving.
*Ohhh......an awesome ironing pile this morning.....by the time I'd sorted it all out, there was such a small amount that actually required ironing....about 5 speedy items, so not much electricity used there.
*Mending - I need to repair 2 garments, so will try to do this later as have been putting it off for no good reason other than it is tedious.
*Jacket potato night tonight. I am going to have tuna melt with home made apple coleslaw & mr f has issued a warning that as soon as he gets in from work, he's constructing the Epic Man Stew. As these are generally pretty huge (my beloved is a bit of a Brick Outhouse & likes his food!), I will leave his soup mug out to encourage him to pop a portion away in the freezer for a packed lunch. Should add that lots of leftovers go into these stews. .....gravy, cooked veg, other veg which needs using, last of the roast pork joint we had on Sunday, home made stock from freezer, etc, so they are good on the money saving front, they just seem to involve so much bloody drama because he loves making them!
*Surveys - did quite a few this morning & was recruited onto another online forum which pays out in points to save up for gift cards. Worked out that I have about £75's worth of survey points at the moment, but all spread between different companies, so it will be a while yet until I can cash in. Nice to know it's there, though.
*Sort out address book. Have been putting this off as I know crossing out 4 people in my life who have died this year will be sad. Updates need doing though. We have been running a 2-book system (for no good reason) & we just want one always updated book which we have confidence in, as having the correct/updated addresses. Why spend money on stamps then send cards to the wrong address, which we are likely to be doing if I don't get updates done before Christmas!
*Extend this week's meal plans. This will save money if I think about it properly. We have a holiday booked soon, which is a mid-week to mid-week let, rather than the more usual weekend arrival. I want to keep as much of our new Week 1 Grocery budget money aside for buying our food while we are away, but we have 5 days when we'll need meals at home. Intend to meal plan for these, prioritising stuff in freezer/pantry to get as small a spend as possible before we go away.
*Wash hair.......no money will be spent on hairdryer use, as I have discovered that I get a better result with the straighteners if I leave it to dry naturally first.
*Abandoned my Avon order. Good prices on lipsticks I like, but it occurred to me that I can have a free one with my Boots points & I didn't need anything else, so that seemed like a no brainer.
And that, friends, is my small list.
HK - Glad my cat conversation make you smile. He is the most bone idle cat we've ever had, but very funny. Keeps going over to the fireplace & peering right up the chimney to see why the fire isn't on. Have explained to him that it isn't cold enough yet & that money saving also extends to cats. No impressed!
CCL - I also had similar issues trying to book a Dr appt. Nothing available for the routine non emergency appointments. I decided to phone the surgery mid-afternoon one day when I thought the staff might not be so busy & asked them exactly how the appointments system works. I had wrongly assumed that all the same-day appointments given out first thing in the morning were for emergencies only, but the receptionist said no, it doesn't work like that.Obviously some of those people will be emergencies, but they have a set amount of same-day appointments to give out each morning & some more around teatime. She also said each Dr has daily telephone appts too, so that's another opportunity, that if he couldn't see me, I might be able to get one of those. I said I didn't feel good about phoning for a same-morning appt when I wasn't an emergency, but she said that's the system & part of the reason for it is so that there are always a set amount of daily appointments to be given out, rather than everything booked in advance & nobody else can get in. So, after all that, I phoned up the next day at 8.30 & was given a same-day appointment no questions asked. Sorry this is a saga......just trying to say that your Dr's surgery might be running a similar system. Now I know how ours works, I certainly won't feel bad again about trying to secure what I previously thought of as 'emergency' appointments. You have been feeling rubbish for ages now, so time to move yourself up that priority list!
OK, must go & investigate sourdough........
