  • Ruby I have Sky+ which takes up some of the day, my laptop is a godsend and I'm knitting various baby outfits! I'm still climbing up the walls (in my head) though. And this is only my fourth week at home I think. OH says I should make the most of it as when baby comes along he'll take up all of my time, but it doesn't feel like I can make the most of my time. Amusingly every day I shower, dress and put on a full face of make-up even though I'm not allowed visitors until next week. OH says I look hilarious sat in bed with my face on!

HardupHester - congratulations on your daughter's wedding news:j.

TiredMum - sorry to hear about you and OH problems. Is there nobody that you can both turn to for a chat about your relationship. Please don't just walk out in a huff or anything like that. It's very hard and upsetting for the kids. I DO understand - been there myself, years ago. IF you can talk it through (can you manage a weekend for just the two of you away somewhere with no distractions) you may find that you've more in common than you think. On the other hand, if you've tried absolutely every avenue and got nowhere, then sometimes there is nothing else for it but to make the break. I don't regret the actual breakup of my marriage - only the way it actually happened with no planning of where to go. ((((((Hugs)))))) to you and your family :grouphug:.

Grannybroon - you just take care of yourself - things like that are warnings for our bodies to slow down. Learn to delegate, dear woman :) (says she who is one of the world's worst when it comes to 'hands on' supervision!)

(((((Hugs))))) to everybody else who has the need of them - sorry only just getting used to the names on here.

Not much OS for me today - busy with a work problem for the majority of the day. Used up some sausages from freezer, oven chips and peas (been in freezer for abut 18 months!) for tea - so a little more room than previously. That all counts towards my effort to run-down the freezer prior to defrosting! That must be the most unhealthy meal that we've eaten for about 10 days - not bad for us!

I have a BIG ham shank in soak at the moment - to go in the SC tomorrow. Have got usual veg to go in with it as well. Will put some soup and broth mix in to soak as well before going to bed.

Have also managed to finish another matinee jacket for imminent DGD2! (suppose that counts as OS?). Had a sort out of my fabric stash - quite surprised myself with how much is in there. I've spent a small fortune at El Kilos this year (well not a small fortune actually - that place is the cheapest on the planet for fabrics!). I wish you sewing ladies could see it - veritable Aladdin's cave it is!

Hope you all have a good night's sleep - I know that some of you either have trouble getting off to sleep or wake up at some really ungodly hour!

Nitey nite and sleep tight - don't let the bedbugs bite!!!
