    Morning all

    Happy Birthday Master DLB :j
Heavenleigh that party looked fab particularly the chocolate fountain:D

Well I went to work yesterday and my dad came over at 9 to open up for the electricians and floor man and at 5 pm when I got back they had still not arrived:rolleyes: - think my dad enjoyed having not a lot to do though - anyway they finally landed and I had a house full for a couple of hours. So I now have a working fridge in the utility, sockets galore, lights under the units, lights up in the utility and a screeded (sp?) floor ready for the covering.

Especially for you guys I took this piccy

I am on the final bit now with just the sink and floor to go in and some painting/tidying up bits - the expected stress never really happened thank goodness (dont speak too soon though:rolleyes: )

Today I have visitors overnight (a lanky legged greyhound and his owner!!) so need to tidy up what I can and get some bits in for food - think we will have to eat out with that oven still not working ;):D:o Also need to make a couple of trips to the tip as I will be losing my big fat old mans courtesy car tomorrow and getting my little baby back from garage hospital:j (5 weeks thats been:eek: )

    Right best get moving then
    Have a lovely day all

    Morning all,
    Lovely party pics Heavenleigh!

Neighbour's little boy spent most of last night yelling - my youngest is 17, but I still recognise temper tantrum when I hear it! Very impressed that neighbours stayed calm and in bed, + very glad our walls are so thick.

DD is 20 today, as she is away in college I shall get out the albums and feel maudlin and OLD. Still getting used to having to stay home so trying to find things I can do that are useful and productive. I am investigating the RA websites for advice.

Going shopping with mum later to the Buyology store - it is said to be excellent for bargains... so I am going to be VERY careful!!!!

    Hugs to all.

Happy birthday Master DLB - hope he has a great day.

Heavenleigh - that party looked like great fun - loved all the ballons and the choccy fountain - am thinking about getting one for DD1's birthday - are they easy to clean??

Muppet - good luck with the new hens - hope they have a happy retirement.

Ancaster - Good to see you back - good luck with the move and where's that last year gone????

Patentgirl - Can sympathise with your DD - I remember how uncomfortable it was having braces fitted when I was 12 - they will settle down.

Nelski - :T ty for the pic of the legs.....I mean kitchen - very nice! ;)

Misty here this morning but not cold ---hoorray!

Will get stuck into the ebay stuff today after spending yesterday faffing about, I did however sort the airing cupboard and not only get to the bottom of the ironing box - but emptied out all the spare hangers and threw them away - I'm sure they breed.

Not sure yet what to do for dinner - might be HM chicken pies and mash...

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Am i right in assuming you mean traintracks as braces? ive never heard that before, i like it :rotfl:

I had, pretty heavy duty jobbies on when i was about 13 ish (11yr ago  ) and i loved tinned ravioli, tinned spaghetti, jacket tatties with cheese savoury (very finely grated cheese so no bits), egg bread... oooh i loved eggy bread with a tin of ravioli on the side :o I also had, boil in the bag beef which is very thin and soft, with mash and some well cooked carrots, or carrot and turnip mash, or mashed up cauli... just think small, soft and not too 'bitty'

    HTH?

    Good Morning All

mrs mix - what a terrible ordeal for your son. I did say, I hope you complained, but after reading a later post, I see that you did, good for you gal!
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MASTER Dlb
Heavenleigh - The fountain looked lovely. Looks like the kids enjoyed it too.
Taplady - hoep your arm's ok.
Moiliere - if I remember the Posties put a £1 charge on for the hassle of not having the correct postage on, so initially the post was only 6p less. I hope your mum claims the money back from whoever sent her the post!
Amie - I too love fish pie, and Im the only one who likes it.

Right, Im sorry, but cant remember what else I typed! So apologise if I missed you out.

Will be having DS burgers for dinner later what he made at school, along with homemade chips, onion rings.
Roll on the wk end, Im ready for a lie in. If the weather's ok, OH plans to do another car boot.
It took forever and a day for OH to put the stair gate up last night. But he got there in the end.

Right, best get ready for work, & make some phone calls
    Love to you all

  • Good morning.........

I seem to be very erratic about posting on here but I am trying to keep up. :o

Very late night last night sitting on here. My eyes just wouldn't close (money worries) but I feel surprisingly ok today. I've done the dishwasher and put a load in the washing machine but the other plans for today are to sort out a few cupboards that are groaning and make some savoury pancakes for tea.

I like your photos Heaven leigh and Nelski.

I hope you get somewhere with your complaint Mrs Mix

Happy birthday to your son DLB.

May pop back later. Bye for now.

    Morning everyone,

Feeling like**** today. Last night I came down with a horrendous cold! Now I look like Rudolph with a bright red nose, which is running like a tap, and I've gone through two boxes of tissues already!

Didn't want it this weekend, we've got visitors coming, and I'm going to see my favourite man DONNY OSMOND at Brighton:T , so I want to be okay!:o

Hope it doesn't make my legs bad that's all.
Anyway, going back to sitting on the sofa, and watching This Morning.
