I hope you are snoozing peace. Have a good weekend.

    I juinxed myself - I was still awake at 6am :eek::eek::eek:

Luckily no gigs today so I slept til 1pm and am just pottering around getting little jobs done. I'm out with my aunty tonight at a burlesque show - very excited!

    Morning all,

I've been up since 5  so I've sent all my emails, caught up on budgeting, and started figuring out my August list (how is it August???)

I woke up to a gig enquiry, which is a lovely way to start the month!

    Main aims for August are:

    - £1200 in new bookings
    - five new clients
    - fully choreograph new Motown show
    - two blog posts
    - create social media schedule that I'll actually stick to :D
    - add my set lists to the website
    - go to two networking events

    - start taking working out more seriously :rotfl:
    - try and get into a better sleep pattern
    - stick to my super-squeaky budget
    - 15 NSDs
    - Read and sew more

Financially, this is going to be my tightest month in a while. I'm doing my best to add to my paltry savings and pay off the credit card as much as possible without leaving me short. I haven't given myself a 'fun' or gift budget at all this month, but if I get invited to something, I'll allow myself a night out or a treat for someone.

    Rent: £450 (all in)
    Fuel: £150
    Groceries: £100
Phone: £40 - this includes insurance
    Business: £30

I really shouldn't need much more than this; with the exception of one weekend working in the South East (I'm staying at a friend's and dropping Mum off at a festival en route so hoping for some diesel money), all my gigs are local, and living near the beach in this weather means my entertainment is mostly free.

On another note, I had my first therapy session yesterday. I have quite a lot of homework to do and I'm feeling really positive!

    Plans for today:
    - go over summer show
    - put together example set for this morning's gig enquiry
    - invoices
    - drop off a few bits to my grandma
    - fuel up and clean car
    - shopping
    - sort out volunteer shifts for month
    - practice ukulele
    - wash all my handwash-only garments
    - NAP :j

    Have a great day everyone!

Yesterday's list all got done  very pleased with myself!

    Rent: £450 (all in)

    Groceries: £100 £26.91 spent, £73.09 left
Phone: £40 - this includes insurance
    Business: £30

My grocery shop next week will be lower as I always buy meatless 'meat' in bulk because Mr A always has it on offer. I've also cashed in £6.70ish from TCB that I'm waiting to appear, and any money I make from TCB and Prolific can be my fun money for the month. To be honest, I've got so much work to do I'm not sure how much time I'll have for fun this month anyway. Not that I'm complaining - I'm delighted things are taking off!

Such a fun afternoon and evening planned - website editing! Might just sneak a quick nap...

Had a lovely gig today, and that's pretty much all I've done! Couldn't be bothered to cook so dinner was jacket potato with baked beans and cheese :p I'm already in my pj's ready for a lazy night in, absolutely shattered and not sure why so the only thing for it is a lie down...

Thanks Uncanny! It does feel good to be getting bookings based purely on reputation now - shows I'm doing something right :) I've pm'd you, you're very kind.

Only update is I'm now on 3/15 NSDs.

Keeping on with the lazy theme today - nothing major but my energy levels have taken a nose dive this week. Not sure if it's my insomnia catching up with me, the increase in my medication, or what... Anyway, generally pottering, learning a bit of music and I'll make a big batch of chilli 'non' carne later. May take myself for a walk along the beach later, and that's it!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday xx

Sounds like a perfect Sunday, Uncanny - I hope you had a great day!

Got a panicked phone call at 7.45pm last night, asking if I could sing at one of my regular hotels, so there went my free evening :p had a nice gig and a few drinks with the owners afterwards, and obviously the few extra pennies in my pocket will help in this super tight month. After commission it's an extra £90, which will be put into the 'Business' budget and maaaaaybe a little bit into the 'Fun' budget! As I've allocated this money to my August budget, I'm not counting this in my sales target. But I got another booking today, which will be added :T

    - £1200 in new bookings £814/£1200 - yay!
    - five new clients Two so far

Enjoyed a lazy day (after the networking) yesterday, so back on it today. More bookings in today (including a new wedding client, 2nd booking for 2021!) means that I've already beaten my sales target for the month :j:j:j I'm chuffed to bits. This year has been a big struggle so far, both financially and emotionally, and it's so satisfying to see the hard work paying off. If I keep being careful, I'll be able to start building up my emergency fund / saving for next year soon!

As much as I said I have a busy week with work, I'm actually seeing friends and family tonight, Thursday night, Friday and Saturday

    Today's list:

    - call regular client for bookings
    - learn two new songs
    - look at social media scheduling
    - practice ukulele song for wedding next week

    - check sewing machine is working
    - work out
    - buy snacks for night in with mates tonight

    And the monthly list:

    - £1200 in new bookings £1304/£1200 :j:j:j
    - five new clients Three so far
    - fully choreograph new Motown show Show has been postponed
    - two blog posts I need to do the first one this week
    - create social media schedule that I'll actually stick to :DOn the to-do list this week
    - add my set lists to the website
    - go to two networking events 1/2

    - start taking working out more seriously :rotfl: It's on the to-do list today, need to sort out my flabby arms!!
    - try and get into a better sleep pattern
    - stick to my super-squeaky budget See below
    - 15 NSDs 3/15
    - Read and sew more Finished a book over the weekend :)

    Rent: £450 (all in)
    Fuel: £150 £80.36 spent, £69.64 left
    Groceries: £100 £26.91 spent, £73.09 left
Phone: £40 - this includes insurance
    Business: £80 £16.60 spent, £63.40 left
Fun: £52.98 I've added on £6.27 in surveys and £6.71 in cashback that came in this week

Just waiting on some banked cash to show itself and then I can skim off the top for repayments and savings :) currently resisting the urge to use everything in the savings account and bung it on the credit card because that leave me with cashflow issues when I have to pay my rent... but next month I can start really make a dent in it!

    Happy Tuesday xx

    You're doing grand lass :)

If you want to shed flab from your arms, I recommend weight training and punching the carp out of a heavy bag at gym, provides tone, strength and stamina ;)
