Well I made it through a busy weekend - 3 gigs, including a drive to the Peak District and back, 2 nights out and not much sleep. So today has been a duvet day with no guilt - lovely and much needed! I'm volunteering tonight 9-12 and until then I'm going to cook a nice dinner and make my lists for the week.
Over the past couple of days, I've also picked up a few more gigs and I now have the rest of the year covered, including Christmas, fun money, and paying off the last bit on the credit card that doesn't have the 0% deal on it :j it'll take a minor miracle to get to my savings target for the year but I'm still pretty happy.
I still haven't heard from the therapy assessment I had nearly two weeks  going to chase them up again tomorrow. I also have my NHS assessment tomorrow, fingers crossed for that!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Thanks, Wishing - I'm trying (some might say very trying :rotfl:)
Had a fun gig last night at a holiday park, and other than that I've been taking it easy this week. Duvet day on Monday, errands, admin and networking Tuesday, ballet class yesterday and today I went to the blue and yellow pleasure palace at the mothership's request. I requested payment in veggie balls - which were delicious - but as I got to the tills with my summer duvet (needed) and smelly candles (definitely not needed), she slapped my hand away from my handbag and bought them as a treat, which was lovely and unexpected.
Although I'm not up to seeing people a lot atm outside of work and prior commitments, one thing I've been trying to do is have a go at a new recipe each week (while sticking to my £30 a week shopping budget, of course). Houmous was a no-no, and anyone that says desserts can be made with aquafaba (bean water) is WRONG, but today I made satay sauce and I want to eat it every day for the rest of my life!! It was so good! It's the one from Good Food if anyone wants to try it. Need to find a recipe to use up the rest of the coconut milk now...
Things are super squeaky until I get a ton of invoices paid next month but the fuel tank is half full, the fridge and cupboards are full with a meal plan in place, and other than a small food top up I shouldn't need to buy anything until next Friday.
Plan for tonight is to put my new duvet on the bed, make my 'July' and 'next week' lists, eat cherries, and relax.2019 Aim: Save £10,000

I've definitely come out of my low month, thank goodness...
Slightly stressed out atm though with cashflow - I have so much work that hasn't been paid for yet and I have so many red boxes on YNAB right now :eek::eek: I know it's temporary, so I'm trying to not worry tooooooo much.
I had a wonderful time singing in a walled garden yesterday - they had an acrobat troupe and I have some wonderful pictures of me being lifted by strongmen!!
Heading down to sunny Cornwall for my gig tonight - fingers crossed it's another good one!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Morning all,
Up since 5am so I've been updating the budgets, sorting receipts etc. Also treated myself to making French toast for breakfast - very tasty!
It's been a busy start to the month, between work and the first hen weekend. I'm only singing Thursday and Friday this week but the running round continues - I've got to visit basically all the family, I have to make a skirt for a friend's birthday present, I've got my (final!) Irish tax return to do, and on top of that my cousin has broken her ankle so I'm on the hospital run with her twice this week. Oh, and I've joined the training team where I volunteer and that starts this week :rotfl:
With everything that's going on with me atm, I decided to break up with the boy. He'd done a few things that increased my anxiety - to the point that I didn't tell him about the PTSD diagnosis - and that combined with the travelling so much meant it just wasn't working for me anymore. I'm sad about it but am 100% sure it's the right decision.
Anyhoo, that's me. I have the second part of my NHS assessment for therapy later on today; other than that I'm just plodding along with my to-do list.

Morning all!
Had another great weekend with friends - very glad all the hen weekends are done for now, managed to sleep for 10 hours last night and my body is full of ache :rotfl:
Officially it's a day off today but it's a busy one - I've decided to make my friend a skirt for her birthday so must crack on with that. I'm a slow sewer (one who sews as opposed to where one's waste goes!!) so that'll take most of the afternoon and evening... I was meant to be seeing my godson today, but he has the pox of the chickenmy friend / his mum is nine months pregnant atm so we're all hoping the baby is comfy and will stay put for the week!
Total plan for today:
- make pattern for skirt
- start sewing skirt
- email agent
- email potential new booker
- message back enquiries over the weekend
- banking
- work out, or at least go for a walk
- all laundry and handwashing
- practice ukulele
- meal plan for week
- grocery shopping
- put video up on social media
- sort out new pics from photographer
- tidy up
Spending limit is £30 for the shopping, shouldn't need anything else. Right, best crack on!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Well, that list took me two days instead of one, and I still haven't done the laundry :rotfl: the skirt took me HOURS but as someone who has never made a pencil skirt before, I made the pattern, lined it and put in a zip! If you don't look toooooo closely it looks lovely and I hope it fits my friend well and that she likes it. It's been wrapped up and put with her other pressies to take to London with me in the morning.
Utterly glorious day today so once it cooled off a bit I went for a stroll along the beach (how I survived in London I'll never know) and this evening will be spent relaxing. My friend cancelled on drinks so I'm Billy-no-mates tonight - the upside is that it's an unexpected NSD. Add in my Profilic cash out and I've made a profit on my day off :j
Not much is going on money-wise - I'm keeping £100 in my main account, putting any big chunks into my savings for as and when I need it, and skimming any loose bits off to the CC debt. Most invoices have been paid from last month and I've acquired at least three new clients and £500 of new business in the past two weeks... things are plodding along nicely but I'm still really struggling to get my head back into the sales game. There's so much more I could be doing!
In general, I'm doing ok but feeling decidedly shakey. I'm quite happy but fully aware that something fairly minor can tip me into darkness. I've got my first therapy session at the end of the month, and until then I'm trying to exercise more, eat well, not drink too much, and see friends and family as much as time and energy allows.2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Well that week went quickly!
Had a lovely couple of days in London with my friend last week - lots of cake was eaten! I treated myself to a gorgeous new ukulele that was slightly over-budget, but it sounds so good, it had to be done. I'll be playing it for the first time in public at a wedding next month, and I'll be gradually bringing it into my act
Very busy work weekend and a birthday party on Monday night (I was a guest, not the entertainment) which was all lovely, but my sleep has been really patchy and I think that may be the reason I've felt pretty low so far this week. I had a medication review with my doctor and she doubled my anti-depressant dosage, which bummed me out a bit as well...
This is my quietest work week for a few months, so I'm catching up on sales (already booked two gigs today :j), scheduling music and admin work, seeing family and running general life errands.
Only thing in the diary for today is training new volunteers tonight and walking Mum's dog (she's poorly this week...).
Happy hump day!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Evening all,
Super duper sleep-deprived today! Had a fun but quiet gig last night, followed by a volunteer shift until 3am.... after which, of course, I couldn't sleep  as I was awake I decided to go to a breakfast networking event (only spend today - £10 - and I always find this particular event helpful). Finally sleep for three hours afterwards, but sluggish is apt!
I hit my sales target today :j:j:j I wanted to make £1k of future bookings this month, and I really thought I had set myself up for a fall but although I haven't been pushing it, the word seems to be getting out so I'm delighted. It's a nice confidence boost that I'm hoping to use and actually work harder on sales and marketing - I worry about being a nuisance when I'm cold-calling people or following up on enquiries; I need to get my head around the fact that people may actually want what I'm offering :rotfl:
Not much on tonight - I was meant to be seeing a friends but she's cried off sick - so I've just cooked myself a lovely veggie satay stir fry, and I'm going to make my weekend list plonked in front of Netfl!x with a cup of tea.
Don't think I'll last past 10pm...2019 Aim: Save £10,000
