    Morning,

Still miserable weather here with a yellow warning for rain.

I've put through a 0% balance transfer which will last til next August :T plan is to get the remainder paid off by the end of the year, sooner if possible.

The car yesterday wasn't too bad - the brakes still have plenty of life in them so it was recommended I don't get them done yet, but I might need new injector seals next week (I just nod in ignorance). Anyway, £91.91 spent on cleaning the engine and fixing an oil leak so not as bad as I'd feared. We'll see what next week turns up.

I'm still doing my sort out - on the hunt for a narrow, tall chest of drawers for my bedroom (second hand, obviously). Other jobs today are a gig tonight, banking, admin, social media and invoices and my assessement which I'm really nervous about! Wish me luck! x

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been doing too well, I think most of us go through these times and it can be difficult to pull ourselves out of it. It sounds like you are doing a great job of getting yourself out of it. Just keep doing what you're doing and try to get those dreaded jobs out of the way in small chunks.

Sending you lots of luck for your assessment, I hope it went well.

Thank you so much, you're a lovely lot.

The assessment went very well - I really felt like I was listened to. They re-diagnosed me with PTSD and have warned me that I have a long road ahead. I don't think the lady that gave me the assessment will be my therapist, which is a shame as I connected with her, but I'm quite positive about where I'm going from here. One funny thing - as it's a CIC I assumed I would pay on a means-tested basis; instead they've asked me to think about how much I can contribute, that the amount can change whenever I need it to, and to be honest with myself about how much I can realistically pay... Anyway, after running a few errands I came back and napped for a few hours - I'd forgotten how exhausting this can all be!

I managed to find a suitable chest of drawers for £30 so my bedroom currently looks like a tornado has gone through it! I'm trying to get it finished tonight but I don't think it'll happen - I enjoy mulling over organisation options (so rock and roll!) so I may have to just live with the chaos for a day or two.

In mega non-MSE news, I've managed to smash my phone. Luckily I don't have a contract on it so I've applied for one (£24 a month after cashback and the phone has good reviews for both video and audio recording, which is exactly what I need). Fingers crossed the credit check is fine and my new phone will arrive on Friday. In the meantime I'm using my housemate's spare and cursing myself for being an idiot. The second it arrives I'll be sorting out insurance!!!

The weather is still drab down here - had to fish out a winter coat last night!

Meal plan is going really well - some of the new recipes haven't been to my liking but I'm surprised by how much food I have left after a week. Should be able to just do a mini shop of fruit and veggies, milk and yogurt to see me through the best part of another week, so at least I'm being frugal somewhere!

Should be a good day tomorrow - I'm getting my hair cut (desperately needed - my hair grows very quickly and my split ends are awful) followed by two gigs. Only other tasks are a bit of ukulele practice, email to a client and continue with the room. I'm still not doing enough on the marketing and sales front, but the phone's been busy recently so I'm doing my best to cut myself a bit of slack.

Fingers crossed for a good rest tonight; it's been a tiring couple of days.

Thanks again for the support, it means a lot xx

    Evening all,

Well, after smashing my phone on Wednesday, yesterday was also interesting - fell on my backside at a gig in the afternoon, and in the evening I managed to bust the zip on one of my favourite dresses  luckily before I went on stage... very relieved that 24 hours is over!

I'm very nearly finished with the sort out which feels lovely.

Wedding gig tomorrow that's nice and local, only other thing on this weekend is meeting up with a friend on Sunday

Not much else to report report really - I'm still waiting on the phone call to sort out starting my talking therapy, and I have to do a financial catch up for the week but that can wait til tomorrow - so I'm going to watch true crime documentaries with a cuppa and relax.

    Happy Friday! xx

    Morning!

Really lovely day yesterday at the wedding - the couple were the most chilled out pair I've ever had the pleasure to sing for and they had the only sunny day of the week :T

Well, I've been up for 3 hours so far, so suffice to say I'm not too happy with my brain as this was a potential lie-in day... budgets are all updated and I'm working on a nice healthy meal plan for the week. As I still have quite a bit leftover from the last shop, I only need to buy the fresh stuff so am hoping for under £15. I'm off to a mate's for wine and gossip tonight, but I found a bottle of white lurking in the cupboard so shall take that with me.

No gigs til Friday and I've deliberately held off from filling every minute of my days off. I have a list of work and life jobs that need to get done, but I'm trying to be easy on myself about when I get them done so that if I feel like going for a wander or watching a tv show or something, I can do it without feeling guilty. I'm also going to walk as much as I can when I have errands to run in a bid to start getting active again.

Think I might attempt going back to bed...

Today has been a complete write off! Not hungover (thank goodness) but I think my body very much recognised that I needed sleep so I finally got out of bed at 1.30pm :eek::eek: I'm generally feeling very down today, but a couple of nice things have happened - mum gave a little bag of treats (socks and beauty bits) for no reason other than she felt like it, and my bride from Saturday left a review on my social media that was so lovely it brought me to tears. Oh, and my new phone has arrived!

Things are going to be pretty tight for the rest of the month as most of my invoices won't be paid until July, and I have my rent coming out tomorrow, and I still have to fill up my car (which is back in the garage on Wednesday) and pay for some networking events... I'm trying hard to not stress out but it's proving slightly difficult at the moment. Still haven't heard from the therapy centre about starting which is both disappointing and frustrating.

Plan for tonight is bangers and mash with loads of gravy, a long hot shower and curling up in bed early. Hoping I feel a bit better and more productive in the morning.

    xx
