    Back home after work.

Tidied round this morning before I went out. Carrots found lingering in the fridge are being turned into carrot & lentil soup so no spending. Post opened dealt with and junk put straight in recycling instead of lingering on the table. Still a bit of sorting to be done in the kitchen but it's getting there. Will try and do a bit more this evening as I don't think there's much on tv tonight.

Not much progress today but I didn't go backwards!
  • Thought today was going to be simple.

    Ha.

Himself didn't wake up until I did, so there was no coffee  and no food for the day.

Morning was OK, got a chance to get some thing sorted, but I knew I had to set up the stage for a show tomorrow - it's important PR - and the Hall & stage has been booked out to me for the past four weeks as a result. Only PE decided they weren't going outside and took over, even though they've been told not to on numerous occasions, as it's dangerous to set up whilst stepping over children and various projectiles are being kicked about. Apparently, it's impossible to play football outside if it looks a bit overcast.

This cut down my four hours set up to 90 minutes. And then I find that somebody has helped themselves to the main stage decorations - after searching frantically for them for 30 minutes. So I'm going to have to make another 9 metres of the things, which took me 3 hours last time.

Decided that would have to wait whilst I got everything else ready as the caretaker had been booked to set up the chairs and tables for the show. But he's not doing it because he can't get in there whilst PE have occupied it.

Finally decided to test the lights, mics and suchlike, as there wasn't much else I could do, so went up on stage to find that PE had scattered their equipment all over it, kids had been allowed to sit up there on chairs, so there are chairs everywhere, the floor is scratched, there are drinks spills all over it and the stage doors are blocked with abandoned PE equipment. Spent the next half hour hurling chairs and mats and drinks cartons, pairs of shorts, make up and assorted child and PE related gibble off the stage onto the floor.

I now have 30 mins left of my four hours. I set up the mics and some lighting - and it's time to go home.

I will have to set up the rest tomorrow morning whilst rehearsals take place, knowing that there is an absolute cut off of midday, hope that the caretaker sets up the seating for 150 people in the first hour of work (he won't), do the rest of the decorating, add another mic and make everything look and sound perfect all by myself (because I refuse to have my time wasted by trying to wrangle 15 teenagers of neither use nor ornament 'helping' to get them out of a lesson).

I will not be hoying tables and chairs about, I will not be moving any more of PE's crap or a piano by myself and if they don't like it, I really don't give a stuff.

Once I got home, I found that the kitchen still hasn't been cleaned from yesterday and he's now out rehearsaling until stupid o'clock. Oh, and there's been a nasty accident round the corner, so all roads are gridlocked; no food deliveries available until that's cleared, which looks like it might be an all nighter for the police :(. The cats disapprove of the back door being opened for some fresher air, so have occupied one knee each and are currently pretending to sleep, interspersed with growling and sticking their pointy bits in as defence against knocking one another off so they can be the Boss of Pride Rock/She Whom Buys the Kibble's Knees.

I am rather displeased with the world today. I could, theoretically, rage clean.

    Nah.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Blimey JoJo what a day!

Sorry just too tired to read properly. Up before 6 to sort recycling and do a few dailes. Oh and I left a trail of post it notes to remind DS to take his college folder (even stuck them in his lunch box and in his boots - made us both smile).

Off at 7 - gym then madly busy paid stuff. Home to sort a bit of laundry, make our bed, swish bathroom, deal wth some home admin, walk the dog, put the T Delivery away and put sausage and mash on. DH cleaned up after tea while I went back to the laptop.

Just finished at the paid stuff. Off to finish the kitchen, pack my bag for tomorrow then collapse into bed I think. Slightly later start tomorrow so I will have time to put a chilli in the SC before I go out.

Sending evil migraine banishing vibes for Pigpen and big squishy hugs for anyone who needs one.

    Back again.

Errands run. CS didn't want some of the offerings -videos- so they will have to be binned. Volunteering done. Dinner cooked and eaten. Wine consumed. Sshhh I know it is only Wednesday.

The kitchen has now been returned to normality (sorry Jojo :o). DW running. Frozen meat defrosting for the morrow so that the SC can be put to good use again.

    G'night all.

    Morning,
It's a leisurely start to the day. I'm not at work, and DD has a dr appointment shortly so we're on a go slow. WM nearly done, DW emptied and HHI seen off. It's a foggy murky morning out there, so it may be a few emails and money stuff for the rest of the morning once I get back from dropping her at school.

I'm hoping that you're not all hiding from me if I promise not to hog the thread today :p

    Morning ladies

I'm hungover, tired (3am wake up call by Tiny) and grumpy.....but...I have a whole day to myself. No site meetings, no emergency BT engineer visits, no appointments at the vets, doctors or dentist. My ironing pile is under control and I've showered, slapped on some make-up and had breakfast.

Today will be a good day.

I plan to tackle the master bedroom in the caravan today and the like of paperwork that has been leering at me from the kitchen shelf for weeks.
