Lived in bedrooms tidied and cleaned. Emails done, I'm still mustering energy for the paperwork. Curry is in the sc for dinner, soup made from leftover chicken carcass. The lengths I will go to to avoid going back to the room of doom, aka the spare bedroom. Serious case of cba setting in, so I'm going to wash up the cooking crud then give myself 30 minutes to go for a bin bag dance in THAT room.

Not the best day here. The boiler has decided not to work so might have to get a man to come and look at it, I have had computer problems, DH is having problems with his back so not at work.

Life just seems tough at the minute! Pleased that I manged to get chilli in sc before the paid stuff so that made things easier tonight. Early start tomorrow and DS to take to hospital for his treatment so its going to be a long day.

Off to find my jim jams.

Sorry to hear that so many of you are having difficult times.

A long day out of the house, doctor's appointment, lessons, blood test, more lessons and then dinner at a friends so a nice end to a busy day. But I am very pleased that I managed to properly clear another part of the kitchen this morning before I went out (only took 10 minutes to put cereal in cupboard and find homes for other bits and bobs), it looked so nice when I came in this evening. I also tidied all the rooms of the house that had been tidied. OK not much to tidy as only me at home this week but previously everything would have been left out as "only me at home so what does it matter".

Bins put out so going to go and enjoy tea and TV in bed.

  • Not working today so carrying on in the kitchen, another area tidied. I am definitely starting to really like how things look when they are tidy and clear surfaces are lovely. Now looking at previous tidied areas and realise there is still more to be done.

Done a quick scrub of the toilets and a general tidy around, so house is weekend ready. Still a bit more to do but hope to finish it today, well at least get it to a level that is good for me. Sorting through cupboards etc is still to be done but not on the agenda for now. Once kitchen is done that will be the day to day part of the house good (living room, kitchen, our bedroom and bathroom).

I have managed to keep on top of done areas on a daily basis since I started 3 weeks ago, it certainly isn't a habit yet to tidy round the bedroom before I come down or to straighten lounge before I go to bed but hopefully one day soon it will be. How long does it take for something to become a habit?

Right kettle has just boiled so time for a coffee and back to the kitchen, last flat surface to be cleared!

Let's keep going, it will get better!
