The 'Spitzenkandidat' system for example.
That is fact, verifiable too.
Here's just one example.

Do you want to try again or will you accept that your "perceived" comment is in fact wrong?0 -

Spitzenkandidat system is democratic.
Look here. Why the Spitzenkandidat process is the best thing to happen to EU-level representative democracy for years0 -
No.

You who grumbles about Googling and obscure sources.
ALSO - my original doesn't say it is undemocratic, does it?
It says it is controversial, and it is as I have shown.
But no, it is not truly democratic.
(That is why so many want it changed which in itself should give you a clue.)
But I will take your one and raise you two.
https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-commission-top-job-jean-claude-juncker-time-for-the-spitzenkandidat-to-die/the current so-called Spitzenkandidat system makes the election of the medieval-era Holy Roman Emperor seem transparent and democratic. It needs to be reformed. Failure to do so would play into the hands of Euroskeptics everywhere. It is highly debatable to say that the spitzenkandidat made the EU elections more democratic - it is perhaps fairer to say that it opened the door to making them more so in the future.0 -

Are you ready to accept you were wrong yet?
Yes, I googled using the terms 'spitzenkandidat' and 'democratic' and hey presto I found an article stating the spitzenkandidat system is democratic.
Have we learned anything yet, tracey? :rotfl:0 -

59% middleclass voted Brexit.
'some 59% of the middle-class overall voted to quit the EU compared with 24% of the working class, said the report'.

I wonder if Cameron hadnt been humiliated when Juncker was appointed against his wishes, if the U.K. would still be in the EU.

I recall voting to leave in part because of situations like that. For Cameron not getting his way, read the U.K. being sidelined yet again. Did you read the article? Cameron’s prediction that the EU may regret Juncker’s appointment seems remarkably prophetic reading it now.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0
