    Hit a nerve, did I?

UKIP Facebook what? I didn't even realise there was such a thing and I guess that says far more about your looking for "garbage" than mine; at least now we know where you dig up your drivel from.

Peace in Europe eh, and all thanks to the EU is it?
Like Crimea or the ongoing war in Ukraine which really is nothing at all to do with EU attempts at eastwards expansion.

Of course, all has been peaceful in Catalonia. Nothing to see there - and it's not over yet. ;)
    Yugoslavia, Kosovo, or Croatia anyone?

Peace in Europe my wotsit - maybe you only meant as far as another world war?
    :D

I might enlighten you, as you appear to be ignorant of the fact, that Catalonia is part of Spain and not under direct rule from Brussels. Unless you are blaming a grievance that goes back 400 years on the EU. Maybe you think the EU was responsible for Franco also?

You raise a valid point about the Ukraine, although again you don’t appear to understand the issues behind it. Europe's eastward expansion has much more to do with NATO and American funded foreign policy than it does with EU, and is a good example of why Europe is being forced into closer union to control it's own fortunes. Unless you think all that CIA money washing around Kiev which led to the illegal overthrow of Yanukovich, and William Hague baldly lying to Parliament about the legitimacy of the new regime, was also a plot hatched by Brussels.

Your deficit Tracey, is that you are blinded by your prejudice.

    Enjoy Facebook.

Ah, the last tactic of one more remainer with no valid argument; resort to personal insult.
    :rotfl:

According to you Spain and Catalonia don't come under EU jurisdiction then, Arklight? The whole world saw Spanish violence towards it's own innocent citizens as it happened - forget your "Franco" ramblings. They are irrelevant, yet again.

As for your facetious remark regarding Ukraine, it does no more than prove both your ignorance and your anti-USA bias.

And that's not some Guardian poll... It's from the Tory Pollster in Chief, Lord Ashcroft.

The tide is turning faster and faster....

Not surprising, it was always the case that when the problems emerged many of the Brexit supporters would change their minds. People are very fickle.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

I think we can all agree it can't be much fun to be Theresa May at the moment. Has there ever been a situation like this where the PM simply can't please half the population whatever happens?

Macron at pains yesterday to reiterate the Barnier position.
No bespoke deal, it’s Canada or Norway.......or ‘no deal’ of course.

  • "Don’t fixate on a second Brexit vote. Focus instead on trade"

The fact is that Britain is not going to abandon Brexit this year. It is not going to do so because, two years ago, MPs voted 544 to 53 for a referendum, which they pledged to honour. A year ago they voted 498 to 114 to honour that pledge. Even if some leavers are having buyer’s remorse, a YouGov poll last year showed just 14% wanting Brexit stopped. The only clear popular wish is to get on with it – and shut up.

No doubt certain remainers on here will read the article and disagree but it makes sense TBH.
