I'm an arch remoaner and I didn't vote for a pro-Remain party at the GE. Try to figure that one out, Conrad.
Likewise, although the candidate I voted for was Remainer, even if that wasn't Labour's official policy and IDS is my MP so it wasn't difficult to decide who to vote for0 -
Which is fine as long as you remember that the last Tory manifesto clearly and unambiguously stated that a Conservative government would protect Britain's place in the single market and not a single voter could have expected to be voting to leave this.
The last Tory manifesto said no such thing.0 -

Brexit bites – PSA announces 400 Vauxhall job cuts alreadyRecent reports have suggested that the prospect of a difficult Brexit is weighing on the minds of decision-makers at the company, and that moving production out of the UK would mean fewer complications, lower build costs and avoiding difficult tariffs that could be slapped on British-made goods.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Thank god that these companies will all come straight back once we reapply through article 49.0 -
While the fall in the price of the pound had helped to boost UK export competitiveness, this currency weakness has also led to an increase in the cost of many essential imported ingredients and raw materials, said the Food and Drink Federation (FDF).
This has resulted in the UK’s food and drink trade deficit increasing by 16% to -£12.4bn in 2017.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Over time J-Curve benefits feed through as firms and consumers switch to UK supply in many instances, as is happening with the cut flower trade benefiting UK growers.
Takes time though Sherlock.
Had we carried on as we were with an uncompetitive currency and ever growing trade deficit, we would have gotten into an ever less sustainable position. Yawn yes I know our trade deficit isn't falling every month, no one said it would.0 -

Fair enough, there was a slim majority for brexit in a non-legally binding, advisory referendum some time last year, but that's all really.
After all, there is a clear precedent.
When the public voted for 'Boaty McBoatface', they named the research vessel RRS Sir David Attenborough anyway.mayonnaise wrote: »And while the Tories play party political games, the UK economy continues its downward spiral...
