Bank accounts have been updated
. £130 dd for CC4 has come out and I've paid £4.02 & £8.75 off of 2 of DHs CCs to round them down. Only £86 more pound to pay until I reach the next bracket. Total of all debt currently £19,086.
Need to do my next couch to 5k run today. Haven't run since Thursday last week. Kind of avoiding it as it's getting harder! Need to just get on and do it!
Hope everyone has a good day.LBM Aug 2017.

Did you ever sort out your wills? We looked on the mse guide for wills - and at the time got a £25 voucher for the one we used. I think it was around £165 for mirror will.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi,
Not much has been happening money wise recently, although did make a £15 payment to DH Cc yesterday and £10 today.
We're trying to get some jobs finished round the house at the moment, in the hope it will make us like our house more!! We really would love to move, but just can't do it at the moment whilst we don't know where DH will be working in the future. I'm hoping over the summer holidays that I can finally get round to doing some decluttering. Think half the reason I dislike the house is that it always looks messy and full. I'm well aware that a new house really wouldn't solve this issue!
We have started potty training DC3 . Actually it's not going too badly. Hadn't planned on doing it for another month or so, but managed to get her to use the potty after being dry over night and she's loving it!
The DCs climbing lessons have been cancelled in September which is really annoying. The Dc are so disappointed. Had already saved the money for the lessons, so may use this money to start either music or French lessons.
Savingholmes - I still haven't sorted the wills out, which is really rubbish. I might in the meantime add a note to the will and have it witnessed to share assets 3 ways between the Dc. Need to get it sorted properly very soon.
Hope everyone's ok.LBM Aug 2017.

Today was our final climbing lesson. DC1 completed his nicas level 1 climbing award. Am really super proud of him. When he started climbing lessons he was terrified of heights and he's progressed so much over the last few years.
Money wise I've sent £10 to DHs CC today. I can see £25 cash back from when we changed energy supplier pending in my bank account. When it clears tomorrow I'm going to send that to DHs Cc.
Hoping to get some tidying/decluttering done over the next few days when DH is off work. Need to pull my finger out and start listing bits for sale.LBM Aug 2017.

Thanks Jwil. Hope you have a good weekend too
.
The cash back hit my account today, so sent £25 to DHs Cc. Updated my credit card spreadsheet and then decided to update the credit limit details in the spreadsheet. DH and I were horrified at the amount of credit open to us (some is being utilised). Total of all credit limits was £81,500 . So we're now getting round to closing some of the unused cards, which we should have done ages ago. DH has already phoned one and closed it. Just need to find the cards for another 2 to close them. I'm hoping the card I'm currently concentrating on (one of DHs course CCs) should be at £0 by the end of September, so that one will be closed then. It really is shocking how much money they are willing for people to have. One of the credit limits has gone up lots without us realising and is now £6k above what we had originally requested.
In other news we have decided to spend the remaining money from my nanny on getting some electrical work done in the house rather than on a holiday. We've had 2 quotes which are about £200 different in price. Cheaper one didn't come and look at the job, just quoted on the phone after a 5 min chat. More expensive one came round, discussed it all and had good suggestions about the job. Not sure whether to get another quote or just go for the one our gut is telling us to go for (more expensive one). It's hard making grown up decisions at time!!
Hope you all have a great weekend.

I know what you mean re cc limits - ours are similar - perhaps £10K less than yours - and that is despite us recently going through a process of paying things off and cancelling the cards. Everytime I log on to my bank account it tells me I'm pre-approved for a large loan... They wonder why people get in debt!! Well doe on paying stuff off. It will also be good to get jobs crossed off your house maintenance to do list!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Evening all,
DH got paid for some extra work, so yesterday I sent £69 to our variable part of the mortgage taking it to a round £2,500 and £15 to DHs CC. Today I've paid another £15 to DHs CC.
The interest rate on our small variable part of the mortgage is now 4%, so am going to try and chuck extra cash at it as and when I can. If we swap mortgage companies in October when we remortgage, this part of the mortgage will most probably get added to the big part.
Today our dishwasher finally broke. It started leaking loads on the floor. Luckily me and DC1 noticed and could put tubs and towels down before it damaged the floor. So today I have started the £1 which trial for a month, researched dishwashers and bought one. It arrives tomorrow! Need to remember to cancel the which trial before I get charged for the full membership. Thank goodness for emergency funds.

Morning,
I've paid £20 to DHs CC today, so including today's payment I've paid £100 to this card since I last updated.
Our new dishwasher has arrived and DH has installed it. A couple of days after the dishwasher going wrong the washing machine stopped working too! So the EF has had a serious bashing recently. Hoping the new dishwasher and washing machine last a long time. Last dishwasher we had for about 10 years!
I am so very relieved that the ridiculously hot weather has gone. I had 2 nights sleeping in the living room with the DC, as their bedrooms were over 30 degrees. Can safely say after the experience that camping is not for me! The DC loved sleeping in the living room and strangely all slept better once they were finally asleep, but I find it really hard not getting a couple of hours childfree in an evening. DC3 slept through both nights which is a rarity at the moment.
Today is the only day this week that we don't have to be anywhere or see anyone, so hoping to do a bit of gardening with the DC and have a sort out in the house.
Hope everyone has a great day.
