Black-Saturn, just caught up with the thread. Hope you haven't given up on us. How are you getting on? Did have a little thought regarding your step-daughter and money situation (going through similar with my partner's daughter), how about persuading her to go through her clothes/bags/accesories and put whatever she doesn't want on ebay? Perfect time in the run up to christmas and it would re-coup some money for her. Might also be a good way to introduce her to getting a bargain if she really wants something (now that she'll be paying for things herself more often).

Chin up Black-Saturn, as I said before you'll get there. It doesn't matter how much or how little you or your other half earn if you love each other thats all that matters.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

  • OK, first question, if there's child benefit, why no child tax credit?

  • Second question, how many hours worked for each job? The hourly rate still looks low.

Again I can't understand why people need to know how many hours he spends doing this that and the other. It makes no difference to the overall total so why make an issue out of it?

Again It makes a difference to the benefits he's entitled to. And is there a reason why he doesn't get a full time job?

OK, enough already, I only ask as doing this sort of thing is my job. My advice is for your BF to find a 35hr/week job that pays a legal wage.

I agree that Mr BS needs to check if he's receiving all the benefits he's entitled to and also his wages seem wrong so he should look into that too.

But his outgoings aren't going to change, even if his income goes up. So in the meantime, can't we just concentrate on that?

He's applied for loads but being as honest as he is he tells them that he won't be able to work there after June and then they say they don't want to employ him if he can't commit himself long term.
