So I don't keep tabs on him 24 hours a day? What does it matter how many hours he works? If he works 100 or 5 his incomes and outgoings is still as it says in the OP
I can't see what all this picking over what hours he spends walking, working or wiping his backside has to do with it. 2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

I don't think they are as you have put the WTC as a weekly sum and not a monthly sum so there is roughly £120 to add to that plus there is no CTC included

Don't get all defensive! We're trying to help....If we knew how many hours he worked we could see whether he could try to get full time employment and the hours he works will also affect any benefit entitlement.0 -

Well then instead of cutting back on his spending I think he needs to get a full time job................

No I'm not saying YOU are lying, I'm saying HE is (although lying is a very harsh word to use)! From the info you have provided it looks like he would get an additional £62.35 per WEEK working tax credits. There must be a reason he isn't getting this.
Just a thought does he get any child support from his ex for his daughter?0 -
Well I KNOW he's not lying. You underestimate the kind of relationship we have. I also said in a past post on this thread that he had appealed against the benefit decision and he is waiting for the outcome. No I'm not saying YOU are lying, I'm saying HE is (although lying is a very harsh word to use)! He gets no child support. His daughters mum is on benefit and hasn't paid anything for 6 years. She hasn't even seen her daughter for 7 years at all.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

As I said lying is a very harsh word to use in this situation. It's certainly not one I would have used! I can assure you that I am not underestimating your relationship, as I said earlier you must have a strong one to get to where you are now. However even people blessed with strong and suppotive relationships can be less than truthful about their finances.
Ok, if you now have all the information correct that means that he should be getting the extra WTC that I mentioned earlier. When did he appeal and what timescale did they give him? Does he get the single adult discount for his council tax? Also does he pay his council tax over 10 months? If so he could ask to pay over 12 months instead.0 -
BS is not a case of you lying, but whenever you post about things and people point out mistakes you always conveniently change the story so it fits.
I couldnt give a fig how 'strong' your relationship is, it's irrelevant, your OH has apparently read the thread but didnt pick up on all the inconsistencies in hours etc
He is a grown man with a 17 year old daughter, tell him to get another full time job and stop being such a mug.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0
