How is the income less than the outgoing? I make it that there is about £100 more coming in than going out.

    Look at your figures again

    Outgoings

    Rent - £208.00
    Council Tax - £71.00
    Gas - £20.00
    Electric - £20.00
    Home phone - £12.00
    Mobile - £10.00
    Food - £100.00 (for 2 people)
    Pets - £1.00
    Travel - £44.00
    Laundry - £1.00
    Wedding - £70.00
    Daughters pocket money - £40.00

    Total - £600.00

    Income

    Wages job 1 - £296.00
    Wages job 2 - £178.00
    WTC - £40.00
    Child Benefit - £70.00

    Total - £704.00

Add £11 TV Licence to the outgoings, so total outgoings are £608 per month.

Now look at the incomings per month - remember, this is based on your figures:

    296.00 + 178.00 + 40.00 + 70.00 = £584.

£584.00 is less than £608.00, not £100 more.

Both money-stretcher and yourself have confirmed these are his monthly outgoings. It doesn't take a genius to work out - based on your figures that he is spending more than is coming in - unless the figures are wrong.

Editted to say, if the 40.00 WTC was a weekly figure rather than monthly, that would give your b/f a mothly income of £704.00, which would mean £96 per month for hime to spend as he pleases. Maybe you could suggest he pays for the next round!

Of course it's £40 per week. Doesn't take a genius to work it out

For the 3 people who have PM'ed Black Saturn, you're entitled to your opinion, but nothing could be further from the truth.

I am much happier being the person I am, than the type of person Black Saturn is, thankyou.

So £52 and 80p per week gets you rented accomodation - in a two bed property - and water rates paid in London. In our area, the water rates have been seperate from the rent for a long time. I thought that was the case all over, but will look on Thames water site to see what it says.

Thames covers Newham  Maybe others do to  It's been a long time since the water rates were tied in with rent, perhaps someone else can clarify.

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out, but you confirmed it was per month:confused::confused::confused:

When asked whether the figures were wrong, money-stretcher confirmed the figures were right, so people will obviously query it.

You might find it more helpful if you post the correct income.
As far as I can see everything is correct. The only thing wrong is I get 80p per week Housing Benefit. So the total rent is £52.80 per week. But thats makes no difference to the overall totals.

Now, the WTC is per week so the figures make more sense, and, because I am a genius, that's why I editted that into my post;)

    If you go to

    http://www.newham.gov.uk/

    type in water

Thameswater comes up. Thames water rates are not listed as being combined with the rent. Type newham water board into search engine - thames water comes up. I'm not saying you're lying and can only go on the available information. So, who is his water authority?

    Here you are: http://www.newhamhomes.com/Services/RentAndHousingCharges/AboutUs/waterandseweragecharges.htm

Why do you insist on all this constant asking questions to try and catch me out. I really don't know what to do here. If I carry on posting you keep replying with some other revelation to try and catch me out or prove I'm a liar (and failing). If I don't post you just jump to your own (wrong) conclusions. I can understand why people think your jealous. It certainly looks that way. I'm not in the business of typing lies into this board. What would be the point? So theres no need to keep asking questions about the ins and outs of a ducks !!!! and always having to have the last word is there?

Thankyou for that. Like I said, the water is different here and the thames water site didn't mention that the water was paid in the rent.

What the site does say is that Newham Homes collects the water rates for Thames water - but if your bf is not with thames:confused::confused:

So, that would mean that rent on a two bed in London is less than £52 per week because you have to add the water rates into that figure.
