  • As far as I can see everything is correct. The only thing wrong is I get 80p per week Housing Benefit. So the total rent is £52.80 per week. But thats makes no difference to the overall totals.

I'm typing this on behalf of my boyfriend. He never seems to have any money in the bank or in his pocket so I went through his SOA with him last night and can't think of anything he can cut down on.

    Outgoings

    Rent - £208.00
    Council Tax - £71.00
    Gas - £20.00
    Electric - £20.00
    Home phone - £12.00
    Mobile - £10.00
    Food - £100.00 (for 2 people)
    Pets - £1.00
    Travel - £44.00
    Laundry - £1.00
    Wedding - £70.00
    Daughters pocket money - £40.00

    Total - £600.00

    Income

    Wages job 1 - £296.00
    Wages job 2 - £178.00
    WTC - £40.00
    Child Benefit - £70.00

    Total - £704.00 total £584

Can anyone see anything where he could cut down here?

BS also has posted your current hours which indicate either 1. your are not paid even min hourly rate. 2. she had the hours very wrong

I would recommend either 1. you get more structure to your working day/week 2. work more hours resulting more income

as an parent to a 17yr old, i know you can easily work fulltime creating more than £118 weekly income.

and I would suggest £100 on food is excessive as BS also states your daughter only eats 1 meal of pasta a day.

Just wanted to say thankyou to BS for starting this thread. I'm on her computer at the moment and am just about to read through the advice given.

On a Wednesday? Oh, ok BS;)

I think you've ommitted to put the cost of your internet connection in your SOA.

Maybe that's why he's using BS's computer - he doesn't have one:confused: But then, they met on line, didn't they?

Other posters have picked up on the fact that BS and MS appear to be one and the same:confused:

If MS was using BS's computer, the likelihood is they were both at her place at the same time so I do wonder why he would need to thank her on screen rather than offer a big sloppy wet thanks:confused:

never crossed my mind Pipkin. Black-saturn hardly needs to boost her thanks count and I'm sure she wouldn't do a thing like that.

I just thought he must have the internet at home because he posted this and it was even put into Martin's Email. If you're going to flog alot of stuff on ebay I think a puter would be handy. It's probably just an oversight. icon7.gif

You're right, he does have a computer - well, laptop.
I get a company laptop and mobile phone.

Not sure why he needed to post that he was on BS's computer then:confused:

  • Sorry I didn't notice any of you in BS's house last night so how can you know if I was there or not.

I don't have an internet connection as yet but am thinking of getting one soon. I am listing things on ebay via BS's computer. Yes we met online but since then I have cancelled my internet connection due to having a lot of problems with my computer. So we don't talk online when were not together anymore, just over the phone.

Please don't presume you know everything there is to know about someone.

Thanks for your advice so far.
