Well, let me see, I'm assuming that because you don't have internet access, and because you were on the internet on BS's computer, you must have been at Black Saturn's house

As it's a company computer, why not get them to sort the problem outAt least then you could get back online, or let me guess - you don't work for them anymore, had to give the computer back, now don't have one and that's why you cancelled the internet.
As you don't have internet access are you

Okay, I've gone through your SOA money-stretcher, and popped the figures into www.entitledto.co.uk
Firstly, based on the figures given in the OP for the hours worked and the wages you receive, it says you are entitled to £72.26p/w WTC and £45.78p/w CTC.
Interestingly, if your rent was around £100p/w, you would receive £48 in housing benefit, based on your figures, which would bring the rent down to £52p/w
Looking at the SOA outgoingsblack-saturn wrote: »
Outgoings
Rent - £208.00
Council Tax - £71.00
Gas - £20.00
Electric - £20.00
Home phone - £12.00
Mobile - £10.00
Food - £100.00 (for 2 people)
Pets - £1.00
Travel - £44.00
Laundry - £1.00
Wedding - £70.00
Daughters pocket money - £40.00
Total - £600.00
So that falls just short of £600 per month.
I have a question about your travel expenses. Is the £44.00 per month work related expenses, as Black Saturn has said you need to do a lot of travelling? If these are work related travel expenses - and £11p/w to use London Transport seems plausible - where have you made allowances for your fortnightly visit to Black Saturn [and your extra visit last night]
That would roughly add £39 travel expenses per ticket if you travelled alone [and at 17, your daughter is probably too old for you to qualify for the family railcard] so an extra £117 this month.
Another question, what about your water rates, and TV Licence? You haven't included those in your SOAIf you do not pay your TV licence, you could end up with a criminal record. A CCJ if you don't pay your water rates. What about clothes, a haircut, toiletries, new shoes, a pint in the pub, perhaps?
Now, looking at incomingsblack-saturn wrote: »
Income
Wages job 1 - £296.00
Wages job 2 - £178.00
WTC - £40.00
Child Benefit - £70.00
Total - £704.00 no no no, the total is only £584, which means you have less coming in than you have paying out
This has already been mentioned, but the incomings add up to less than the outgoings. As you are no longer in debt since meeting Black Saturn, how is all the extra expense being met?
If money is that tight, should you be thinking of getting married right now? Will you have a job to go to when you move to Lowestoft? Clearly, you both love each other very much for a long distance relationship to have lasted three years, but it is better to sort these things out now, so that you can live together as equals, isn't it.
Based on the figures given, you are working below minimum wage, and that too, needs to be addressed. Unfortunately, something doesn't add up here, but I guess that's for you to sort out. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. The £44 a month is for travel to and from me. I also pay £44 a month. Sometimes it's more and sometimes it's less but thats about average. He doesn't have any work related travel expenses.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

The water rates is included in with the rent. I forgot about the TV licence so you can add another £11 odd per month to the outgoings. He is paying the TV licence so please don't presume he's a criminal. He has a wardrobe full of clothes, I doubt he will have to buy any for years and if he does they come from charity shops (as do mine). I'm a qualified hairdresser so I cut his hair. His last pair of shoes were £4 from a charity shop and I always pay for the drinks when we go out. This has already been mentioned, but the incomings add up to less than the outgoings. How is the income less than the outgoing? I make it that there is about £100 more coming in than going out.If money is that tight, should you be thinking of getting married right now? We have been saving up for this wedding for 3 years. He will be getting a transfer when he moves to Lowestoft.
I've actually had 3 PM's when I've logged on today from people telling me how jealous you sound about me. I'm beginning to think that too.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I assume work pays his travel expenses then. I looked on train times and prices and found the cheapest fare on there was £39, but perhaps there are cheaper options.
How do you both pay £44 per month when he has either himself [1 adult] or his daughter as well [2 adults] and you have yourself and two children - wouldn't your fares cost more?
What about water rates and TV licence?
He is definitely entitled to WTC and CTC so should apply. Can't see why he was told he wouldn't be entitledThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Hmmm does sound way under the Field Marketing rate... if that is what he does. As he has retail experience tell him to put his name down for some 'tactical' work he'll get paid by the call on ave £15 and then there is also the travelling expenses that he can look at and if he's really cute he can double up as a rep/facer and work for 2 marketing agencies (they hate that!!) - but totally legal. There is also weekend work etc.
So tell him to register with a few field marketing companies REL, CPM, IMS are all good. Keep away from PMI they are PANTS!!!0 -

For the 3 people who have PM'ed Black Saturn, you're entitled to your opinion, but nothing could be further from the truth.
I am much happier being the person I am, than the type of person Black Saturn is, thankyou.

Didn't presume he was a criminal, I stated that if he did not pay his TV licence he could end up with a criminal record.
So £52 and 80p per week gets you rented accomodation - in a two bed property - and water rates paid in London. In our area, the water rates have been seperate from the rent for a long time. I thought that was the case all over, but will look on Thames water site to see what it says. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story.
