I'm really tempted by a robot vac. Can I ask what model you have and if you think it's good value? We have hard floors and fluffy cats and am getting sick of sweeping!Choose kind4

@Hazelnutty I have a couple of Eufy robovacs (one upstairs, one downstairs), and bought one for my mum as well (just before lockdown - so when her cleaner couldn't come it was a real bonus). I believe @redofromstart has one too (in fact I think I stole her research) and she has cats and dogs to cope with. Only buy them when on offer. I looked the other day as someone else asked, and there is now an Amazon Basics model, and some really cheap ones at around £30, so worth doing a bit more research (one of the £30 ones had great reviews, but it turned out the reviews were for a chimney-sweeping gadget!).
Tired this morning, and a bit headachy. Did a bit more painting, and realised my HR was right up, so skipped pilates. And then finished the painting (probably not the most sensible thing to do...). But the paint tin is now empty, and some bits of my kitchen are the colour it will all be eventually which helps give an idea of what it will be like. The bits I've painted will mostly be covered, which is probably a good thing. Kitchen order is due to be finalised this week, so I can then book the fitter, delivery and all the stuff that needs to be done before that.
Meetings today and tomorrow have been cancelled which is annoying as I've been trying to take Wednesdays off to break up the week. I'll take it easy today (when don't I from a work perspective) as I can always catch up on Friday. Plus it's nice today, so I want to make the most of it and see whether I can potter in the garden in between emails.

Pottering would be good! I vote for that

How nice to have visitors
I've just spoken to my GP. All my tests are normal apart from iron where I need to drop my dose (I have a history of iron deficiency anaemia, so when this kicked off I restarted supplements before flying to plague-ridden Silicon Valley in the hope it would help), and calcium (more cheese and chocolate apparently). No thyroid or kidney issues, no diabetes. Focus on learning my limits so I can pace myself, do the stuff I have to do (work...), gentle exercise so I don't lose muscle mass (aerobic fitness is going to suffer, but that can be dealt with later). Take a Vit D supplement especially in winter as it can help with fatigue (I'm doing this anyway in preparation for the dentist doing my bone graft in September). And get back to eating low carb. It's easy to resort to toast as a solution when you have no energy, but it isn't the answer. More protein, more healthy fats, more variety of plants - this is actually how I prefer to eat when I have the energy, and ironically it's what provides the energy. So I also need to slowly get stocked up on frozen stuff again so that I have the right things available if another fatigue episode hits.8 -

She's always been incredibly supportive - including sending in a letter of complaint when I saw a registrar in clinic rather than my consultant and was asked 'Why are you here, you haven't got cancer?'. (I was there because oncology had told them to make sure I didn't get cancer - and as a long-term patient I should have seen the consultant anyway. I do now.)
She has told me to stop eating toast though...8 -
Protein snacks are wonderful, greenbee, I agree - dry roasted peanuts, chunks of cheese, even little squares of chicken-type quorn roasted in the oven. Enjoy
