I'm very glad that I've arranged to have the huge poplar at the front of the house taken down next week - it's dropped several branches so far. Hopefully it'll survive until then!
Duvet on the bed was very much appreciated. By the cats, as well as me.3 -
I'm just waiting for our Cherry tree to do something similar - it's become tall and spindly since being lop-sidedly limbed up by the plastic-grass neighbours!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Just heard a thud upstairs and for a minute thought it was the wind. Then realised it is probably Fatty patrolling the bedroom 🤣
Agile negative rates are getting me back into the habit of discharging and recharging the battery - and scheduling hot water, towel rails, and the occasional electric radiator. As it's not yet that cold, I'm hoping to be able to put off switching the boiler on for a few more weeks with a combination of solar/agile/woodburner (must bring in more logs... lots more logs).2 -
Drain man has been, so I have a replacement cover for the main chamber, and the pump in the second chamber has been properly fixed (the existing fixings had corroded and it had dropped down to the bottom of the tank) with a chain and bar, as well as one of the inspection chambers having it's cover properly cemented in. Hopefully this will solve at least some of the smell issues.
Fatty helpfully hunted down another spider for me yesterday (the other day she made me move the laundry bin as she'd chased one behind it) so is earning her keep.4 -
Glad she’s keeping you safe from spiders 😆 We had a cat who used to catch them with his paw then sit eating them 🤢I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Both cats, and the dog, eat spiders. But Fatty is particularly proactive. Mind you, she does make me nervous sometimes as she suddenly stares somewhere and I expect to see a spider! I'd rather they weren't in the house, but I think the gutters being cleared and cleaned the other week disturbed at lot of them. I'm coping a lot better than i have in the past thanks to the assistance
I'm hoping to gradually get the house sorted out enough that I can run the robot vacuum regularly between visits from the cleaner. It would also help with the dog hair...

I used to keep an upstairs & downstairs spider because it it the flies I don't like especially the small ones. I don't seem to have either now thankfully. But I only need to stand outside for a minute & get bitten. The really annoying thing is that DS never ever gets bitten. This time of year is the worst.1

I heard on the radio the other day, at this time of year, 70 million spiders are preparing to move into our homes! We've had a couple of huge ones recently that were quickly relocated outside.Mortgage Free November 2018

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
