Bostonerimus$ 186659
Bostonerimus£ 186659 - damn the pound strengthened and wiped out my $ currency gains ;-) I was hoping to be knocking on the 200k mark.
And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.0 -

Finellah VLS80 £163,867 64%
Vanguard FTSE All Cap £195,952 96%
Not a bad month for TBC15 up nearly 4% with Tech doing most of the heavy lifting 6% Fundsmith could try harder up barely ½ %. Still just short of the psychological 100% return.
Digger UK had another good month up 8.5% making his total return an eye watering 121%

Another slightly down month, mostly due to my emerging markets index fund dropping several percent while everything else barely moved.0 -

FEET finally gave up the last of the cash this month from its liquidation.
Some pretty persistent discounts are still in the portfolio, ranging from -9% to -40%. I reckon that there is a good overall 6% uplift to my portfolio if those ever close. For the time being I am underperforming for the long term it seems.

Managed to break 200k this month on the back of a falling pound. I'm lagging some portfolios and ahead of some, which is to be expected from a 75/25 index tracker portfolio that has received no attention since 2017. My average annual gain is about 9%....a bit more in pounds and a bit less in dollars. I see people asking about "crypto strategies" and "how to manage a portfolio" and I don't understand why they feel they need to do anything more than be frugal and invest in the broad markets and sit back????And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.0 -

Happy New Year.
Well the last month for TBC15 was going quite well until the 17th up about 5% then the fickle finger of fate did its bit and we finished up about 2.5%.
I never thought I’d be saying this but I’ll be looking at Fundsmiths performance in 2025
As a quick reality check I’ve included Novembers RPI and CPI results just to illustrate the ravages of inflation.
Digger UK had a negative month but still doing well overall.
Seasons greetings hope all goes well for you in 2025.

Slightly down on the month and overall a slightly disappointing year. Being light on US equities and having zero exposure to Nvidia has not helped the cause. Fundsmith and Finsbury are chugging along waiting for the next downturn that never comes. Chrysalis did ok for once, up 40% over the year.
Second best performing fund was my only index tracker - Vanguards EM ETF.0 -
