Jojo.. I go up when the small wakes up and he comes down to get ready, he stayed last night to help change sicky bedding .. he is asleep almost the second the girls go to bed. I also need him here, I can't carry the baby on the stairs, school runs are killing me, and a wole mountain of other stuff. To make matters worse we are financially much worse off.. I can't get to any appointments now either so nothing will be improving.. it is just so frustrating. We manage tesco occasionally, just the three of us so can have a conversation then. he won't get anything else, his CV sucks and he is dreadful at interviews and the only reason he got this was because it is through an agency and they employ literally anyone.. they don't even do interviews they just take your details and send you somewhere.. and there you stay.. I've actually seen some people he has been refused a job in favour of and they are morons, absolute morons.. one woman had to be TOLD repeatedly to serve customers inside of standing looking gormless. It is so demoralising, I totally get why people stay on the dole for years and years, it is so much better for your self esteem. Then you get the places that won't employ you because they get you confused with someone else and the places who totally frock you over.. one place offered him a job, told him to ring next day to arrange induction when he rang someone told him they had given it to someone they interviewed 3 weeks ago because he couldn't do it then but could now so tough.. then he reapplied when that guy left after 2 weeks and they binned his application because they decided he had been turned down for the role... it's a total farce! Noone knows what they are doing anywhere.. I think everyone wants to employ stupid people so they have no ambition and are happy to stay as drones forever.. and they don't want anyone who is more intelligent or more educated than they are. It makes me really cross!

And now we have run out of nappies.. Twinkle has an unhappy tummy and a horrendous cough... and the all important viral rash!

Quite a productive day yesterday. I accomplished everything apart from the currency.

DS3 is desperate for the new FIFA 18 game. He gave me £50 on his birthday back in April to look after (which I have spent of course). I told him he had to do all his homework and tidy his room then I would order it at 8pm. His room has never looked so good! The website crashed ! I managed to order it this morning I will pick it up tomorrow when I'm at work. What he doesn't know is that there is a party after work tomorrow because the shop has been open a year. I won't be home till about 1030 because it's a subsidised bar!

So far this morning I've done two loads of washing and tidied up the kitchen. I've also planned meals for the next week which is most unlike me.

    Yesterdays list.
Investigate currency rates for DD1 and us.

    Todays list

    Haircut and colour 12
Bag in car to charity shop.
    Ironing
    Few bits needed at Te$co
Sort through DS2's clothes - loads he does not fit/wear.
    Hoover HSL
    Bake banana cake
    Keep the washing machine going.

Folks, you may congratulate me! I managed to drive to the post office and back this morning. It's only a mile for the entire round trip, but still.....:j
For new Flyers/people who don't know me, Mr LW and I were in a nasty accident back in April 2015, when we were rear-ended at speed while waiting in a queue of traffic; and I've been terrified to even get in a car ever since.

Mr LW is busy ironing hankies; and I need to throw the Dys0n round when he's moved the ironing board, as Meg the Retriever brought in a fair bit of the Great Outdoors on her feet when she came for her Meet'n'Greet visit yesterday. I want the bungalow at least superficially shipshape, ready for Milly & Mia's arrival at sparrowfart (well ok, 09:00) on Saturday. ;)

ETA: YL That's great that your DS1 is making some life plans for himself; but I'm certain he'll always value his Mum's wisdom - and look what a fantastic job you've done, that he's managing this. :T

  • Good afternoon all Pigpen hope you feel better soon I have been through my other half working away from home and him working shifts he still does but I now work from home but when i worked outside the house often we only would see each other 10 minutes a day often as he was driving me to work was the only time we add. It's hard but you will get through it and things will get better it might take time but it will. Enjoy what time you have. I am still keeping up with everything in the house paid work is getting busy so I really need to get organised with that as October and November get really busy.

    Aww well done LW xx

Back from college early, on a mission to sort out another placement... I've rung 4, got an application form for one, awaiting a call back from another, and been told by the others they only take final year students <rollseyes>. Ah well. It's a start. I'm looking like I will have some very busy weekends for the next few months! Have just begged more babysitting from granny. She's also invited me for afternoon tea on *that* anniversary which I think will be nice. Well, not nice, but you know what I mean...

Claim to fame, one of my classmates is a recently retired superleague rugby player from our local club :D well he's actually a kiwi but played for ours for several years. You know when you think you recognise someone then they say their name and it's like "bingo!", well that, lol.

So flying has been nonexistent today, and I've to go get sports kits ready for the usual Thursday shenanigans... And make us a portable dinner :rotfl:

Well done LW. That's fab! :T:T:T

I managed HHI and a quick clean of the downstairs loo before rushing off to work. Stayed yet again longer than I intended / am employed to but wanted to get something finished. Dashed home, then back out to town to pick up a click and collect for DD. Swerved by Mr M to get the grocery shop, all the while trying to remember why I don't do home delivery.... although I did get some ys meat from the butcher counter, so I have literally wedged that into the already packed freezer. I also have realised that I bought nothing useful for dinner tonight. Pasta again then.

I intended cleaning the bathroom when I got back, but tbh DD is threatening to wash her hair, DH is due back after a week away at work so will hog the shower, and I can't see the point of cleaning it all to have it trashed within the hour.
  • Fantastic LW - lots of ratty hugs and licks for you xx :D

I've been off work for a couple of days - my anxiety got the better of me :( The atmosphere is not nice at the moment and everyone is so stressed and fed up of those up top speaking to them rudely or like they're 5 years old. Moral is, I feel, at an all time low. December 21st can't come soon enough. Have been looking to see what else is out there which is a shame but necessary for my sanity :o

pigpen - sending lots of positive vibes for you and OH xx

Flying has been virtually zero as I've spent most of the day napping but have done WM x 1 and washed up.

Going to meet the Naval Padre this evening who is conducting the rededication service for Granddad's grave - less than 4 weeks to go.

    Have a good evening xx
