Who on earth keeps buying him unneeded slippers every Christmas????:rotfl:. Maybe a tactful word to the generous donor is called for as maybe some money could be saved and more useful and welcome gifts could be given to DH:idea:.
Of course you dont know the dichotomy that is my life. Its Santa that brings the slippers (me really but dont tell

Thanks DIA
. I went to bed early and slept quite well. However I do have a bit of a headache, feel a bit woozy in my head and feel a bit achey all over
.
I have to go in to work though so I'm trying to tell myself that I'm fine. I only have to work for an hour and twenty five minutes so I should be able to cope I think. Then I can come home and relax. It may be partly stress because of all the stuff going on in the background, who knows.
It's a lovely sunny day today anyway. When I get to work I need to ask what I'm earning because although I was told, I'm not sure if it includes holidays or not and I need to tell the tax credits and our accountants about my job and how much I'll be earning. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Work was enjoyable and I felt absolutely fine as soon as I got there. Maybe I was just stressed this morning, or maybe adrenalin got me through. I feel tired now though!
I got given my staff id when I arrived, I'm so proud of that
. I asked again how much I got paid and whether it included holidays, and I'll get £233 a month which I will still get in the holidays iyswim. So that's a bit more than I'd hoped I would get :T. Also in April it will go up to £244 a month :T.
That extra money is going to make such a difference. I'll have to talk it over with DH but I think that I'll use it to pay the council tax every month, which will leave £104 a month which I could try and save into an emergency fund. Some months I may have to use it for other bills if DH doesn't bring in enough money, but on good months I could save it into a savings account

Work was fun today. Apart from the dining hall bit which is hectic and hard work, I'm basically getting paid to play with small children
.
Yesterday we had four banged heads to deal with. Two children ran into each other and the other two banged their heads on something (I'm going to be put on a first aid course soon).
Today there were no casualties, but a little five year old girl was crying and saying she wanted her mum
, so I comforted her and helped her to find her friends to play with. Then there were three little boys sitting on a bench looking sad and saying that they had no one to play with, so I suggested that they play with each other :rotfl:. Apart from that I dealt with a dispute over the water tap and a pair of lost glasses :rotfl:
It's different every day but great fun, I can't believe I'm getting paid to do this
