Sounds like you had 2 great days, and getting paid too!! Sounds wonderful.

Now you know you will have funds for your nt every year as you will have some savings and the 2 council tax free months once you get your arrears sorted. Well done

    Dxx

Thanks Daisy :). We pay our council tax over twelve months to make it more affordable, but it will be useful to know the money will be there to pay it every month.

    Thanks SA :).

Once you sort yourself out consider going back to 10. Feb and March are great months simply because of the 'free' money :rotfl:

  • I'm so happy for you, HH, that you've slotted into the job so seamlessly and are really enjoying it:j. Being busy gives less time to dwell on all the sad and difficult things that have happened recently /are still happening in your life. there's nothing like being with young children especially in an informal setting to lift the spirits. Even the weather is a bonus at the moment, although I fear it isn't going to last:(.

Sorry I haven't been around on the diaries much, so much work going on here getting ready for the surveyor tomorrow. Trying to make a whole houseful of stuff (not necessarily clutter just furniture and life's essentials) temporarily disappear has been a nightmare. We are both exhausted and it's brought it home to us that we aren't getting any younger:eek:

Thank you Carboot :). I hope I'm slotting in well. I'm certainly enjoying it. I do wonder sometimes whether the other staff think I'm doing all right or completely useless :o but I'm doing my best so hopefully I'm being fairly competent :rotfl:. I do tend to lack confidence in my abilities :o.

Working with children you reallly have to think on your feet and do what seems right at the time, but sometimes I think was that the right thing to do or say?

You're right about one thing though, it is definitely taking my mind off my family problems so that's a very good thing :T.

I hope things go all right for you over the next few days, you've certainly got a lot on your plate and we quite understand why you've been too busy to post much :).
