Aaawwww how sweet, poor Mr Daisy being so attached to his smelly slippers :rotfl:. How long does it take him to get used to his new ones from santa? :rotfl:.

Annoyingly it's usually quite quick once I've got the old pair into the bucket. Doesn't help the following dec 26th tho !:rotfl: he has 3 new pairs under the bed awaiting being brought into play. So over 30 xmas's of new slippers hes managed to push the awful moment back by at least 38 months :T:T:T heehee

    Glad today went well.

  • Thanks OBL :). I've definitely been struggling with the dark evenings as they can make me feel very gloomy. The sunshine is lovely this week, so I hope it lasts. I also want dry playtimes to last :rotfl:.

:rotfl::rotfl: sorymof is a typo ,it should say sort of:rotfl::rotfl:

  • I hope your not coming down with anything Hairy that would be s*ds law in action, I rely on my doses of Echinacea through the winter to stop me getting ill, my DDs laugh at me because I'm always on at them to take some,I swear by it though
I hope you manage to get a good night sleep tonight as lack of sleep makes everything seem worse,I got in bed intending to go to sleep but decided to finish my book and I'm wide awake,so I'm not sure how much sleep I'm going to get tonight,I've got to get up at 6 am

Who on earth keeps buying him unneeded slippers every Christmas????:rotfl:. Maybe a tactful word to the generous donor is called for as maybe some money could be saved and more useful and welcome gifts could be given to DH:idea:.

I know! Hopefully I'm just tired. My mum used to swear by echinacea too so I take it as well. I've also started taking a multivitamin and multimineral tablet every day to try and give me more energy and just in case I lack nutrients, being vegetarian.

I hope you managed to get to sleep in the end!

  • I hope you slept better last night, HH, and feel more like your usuall self today. Great news that your first day went well. Here's to lots more happy, money-earning days:beer:

I've never taken any supplements or vitamins in my life as I feel we get a good, well-balanced diet and I try to get out in the sunshine and open air to boost anything else that needs a bit of help. I've read about a lot of people on various diaries taking echinacea and wondered whether to try it but as I get very few colds anyway I might save my pennies. The vitamin B12 deficiency knocked me for 6 as I just thought I was anaemic or something and couldn't understand why or what I was doing wrong:eek:. That's remedied now by 3-monthly 'shots' at the surgery as it's not a supplement that I can buy although there are supplements to boost that available over the counter. At least I wasn't ill through depriving my body of some essential nutrient which was good to know. Just a medical condition that I couldn't help happening. I can tell when I'm nearing my next booster though as I slowly feel like a deflated balloon getting more and more lethargic. A day or two after I've had my new 'shot' I feel like Wonderwoman:rotfl:. At least my 'shots' are free, as I'm an OAP:j. Being old does have some bonuses after all:rotfl:
