Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Well we met for coffe this morning and it's all out in the open and been discussed. We've agreed to carry on as normal, there will be no bad feeling etc. I do feel shocked and upset but I don't want to rock the boat. I just need to get used to another seismic shift in my world. I think I need stabilisers fitted
.
Anyway my cold is feeling much better, although I'm still blowing my nose for Britain. I think it's my asthma that makes colds knock me for six. But now that I feel better I will cope in the only way I know how and that is to keep busy and don't think too much

After meeting stepdad for coffee I looked around the charity shops and spent £1.50 on a Pilates DVD because I want to practise at home and get a bit fitter. I've hardly moved off the sofa for a week! Then I got bananas, satsumas and cheese for £3.42. Plus £2.40 for the bus. Town was very busy for some reason.
This afternoon I intend to muck out the furry moron, empty all the bins in the house and put some more laundry in the washing machine.
If I manage all of that then I must be feeling better! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Could I be nosy and ask who broached the subject, you or Stepdad? Any mention of when you might meet them as a couple? I think you're handling a very sensitive situation extremely well for all concerned. Your approach to dealing with things going forward is so brave. You're a star:A
The Pilates DVD sounds like a good buy and you can practise whenever you want:T. You're always so busy though I don't know when you'll give yourself any time to do it;)
Glad to hear your cold is on its last legs:T0 -
Just caught up Hairy.
I agree with some of the comments about some men being different. my ex pining after me still, but with another woman at the same because he can't cope with not having that companionship.
I can understand though your hurt, and that it is too soon as well. I only wish there was a way to make this better, and the hurt not to be there.
It must still be so raw over your mum. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -

Thank you Carboot
. I'm doing my best to handle it in a dignified way without causing any family rifts, although I am of course very upset. He raised the subject as he didn't know that I knew. Anyway it's better for it to be out in the open. I said I wasn't ready to meet her yet but wouldn't rule it out for the future. He said that's fine and we agreed to stick to our normal routine with regard to meeting up.Just caught up Hairy.

. It's such a lot to take in when I'm still coming to terms with my mum's death. It is still incredibly raw over losing her and this is really not helping. But I have to come to terms with it. It is what it is. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've cleaned out the furry moron and emptied the bins. I'd like to hoover as the carpet has sawdust on it  but I don't have the energy today. That can be a job for tomorrow. But I'm relieved that my cold is feeling a lot better and my energy levels more normal :j. I'm looking forward to going to Pilates on Monday and doing lots of walking. I do actually enjoy exercise, strange creature that I am :rotfl:.
DH is cooking tonight :T so I can relax now, try to anyway
. DS1 is watching Ash VS The Evil Dead, which is strangely compelling . Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
