Do give eBay a go HH - it used to be much easier and more fun than it is now but still worth a punt. I won’t entertain FB or sone of the other selling sites where folk come to your home either. I feel there is zero protection from who knows what but that’s probably just me being paranoid. I was a young woman living in Yorkshire during the ripper years so am finely tuned into fear.

Well it's been confirmed that stepdad and the lady are in a romantic relationship. If I'm being completely honest about my feelings I am very upset and shaken by this news. The reason I'm upset is because I think it's too soon. It makes me feel as if he can't have loved my mum very much if he can move on so quickly. It feels like a betrayal of my mum. I know he's lonely and that maybe I can't understand how he feels because I don't have to live alone, etc. But that doesn't change how I feel.
Having said that I'm not going to cause a rift in the family. I'm not even going to tell him how I feel because I think that would cause bad feeling. I'm going to take it on the chin like I always do. But I'm not happy about it. So I won't invite her around with him yet. If he invites me to his house when she is there I will be polite and friendly. But it's too soon for me to invite her here.
I need time to get over the shock, to process my feelings, and to get used to the idea that he is with someone else. All of this will take time. I haven't got used to my mum having died yet and now I have to get used to this. I don't expect him to be alone and unhappy for the rest of his life. But I think six months is too soon.
Anyway that's how I feel and I can't help it.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I think ebay is the way for me. I like to keep a bit of distance between me and the buyers. As you say Beanie we are all different.

It is soon so it is unsurprising you feel the way you do.
I think accepting the way you feel is important.
It will take time to come to terms with this new development
