Snap! I'm 5'1 as well and have the exact same problem with trousers and tops:(.0 -

Most boxes get narrower at the bottom but these are the same width all the way down and so you can store more in them. They also do interesting options like my wrapping paper box. I think they're worth every penny

I agree:T. The big ones even when full are easy to carry too as the handles are nice and sturdy:j0 -

I enjoyed my first morning back at school
. It's good to get back into my routine.
Although now the dreaded Christmas and new year are over, 2019 does seem a bit like a long year stretching ahead that I need to get through. I need to try and take one day at a time, or one week at a time.
I need to cling to my routine: Pilates on Monday, flexible on Tuesday, food shop on Wednesday, volunteering on Thursday and Friday, charity shops on Saturday, work on my business and see stepdad on Sunday. I don't know what I'd do without my routine.
This afternoon I have all the chores that I didn't manage yesterday to do, plus a few new ones!
- Put dishwasher on (we literally have no clean plates ).
- Put laundry on to wash (we're running out of clothes too).
- Clean mud off my ankle boots and trainers.
- Pin up my new jeans and shorten them.
- Ring hospital about DS1's assessment form.
- Buy new mascara.
If I get all that done I'll be doing well. I could have bought mascara yesterday in the supermarket and when I changed my trousers, but I only realised this morning that it was running out, so it took me ages to get ready as a result .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I love storage stuff. And books. And stationery. I'm going to have to be very strong now the scrimping reins could be loosened a bit as I just daren't fall back into my old ways and until I test myself I won't know how well I've learned my lesson:o
I've formulated a bit of a plan which I'll go into on my diary when I get a chance but basically it involves the occasional spending on wants rather than needs has to come from any extra money that I make. In other words, I need to sell something on eBay or whatever to be able to buy something of up to the same value. My options for making extra are pretty limited though, just surveys and selling stuff really. Otherwise I plan to save, save, save on all outgoings just as before:j.0 -
Just musing here but - how is it that DS's (& I certainly include my one & only in this) manage to hoard plates bowls & mugs in their own personal spaces & NOT realise that eventually they are going to come down to refuel & find they have nothing to put that sandwich/pizza/coffee etc in or on?
I have just had to do a dishwasher load (bought by DS because dishwashing was one of his chores) because I have no more jugs or bowls left to heat custard in & believe me I had a few. The last time I had custard was Boxing Day!
I have however totally confused him now because the only way he is having more custard is if he makes it with custard powder. Sometimes it is fun to be "bad mother". I am out overnight tonight & if he wants more Xmas pudding he is going to be on a rapid learning curve. Cue evil laughter!0 -
That's some list HH!
Hope you manage to get done what you need too

Hi Hairy,
Just catching up.
Hope that you had a nice Christmas and that you got some time to rest and recharge after an emotional year.
That is one big list, hope you got some of it done.
Big hugs to you xxx0 -

Could you give yourself a weekly or monthly spends budget? Then the rest of your spare money could be diverted into savings. I think a set amount of pocket money stops the urge to fall off the wagon big time. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
