You did really well to stay under budget with those bargain 'extras'. The gift wrap sounds a brilliant buy:j.
I love Really Useful Boxes too:T. I have a couple of big ones, I'm not sure what they were designed for but they've been worth their weight in gold to me over several years. I know they're expensive but you get what you pay for with plastic storage boxes. I've had so many cheap ones in the past that have cracked or broken in no time at all:eek:. False economy really. The Really Useful ones last forever:j. I wish I had more of them in smaller sizes. Maybe something to put on the list for when I feel able to actually spend money on something other than the bare essentials:think:0 -
I'm only 5'1 but have long legs and a short body which is a nightmare as petite length trousers/jeans are too short and all tops are too long in the body.
I wouldn't worry if you remain forever teetotal, it certainly won't do you any harmI think with grief the fear is that if you drink it lowers your resistance and then the floodgates open.
Some great bargains thereI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Some great bargains there. But I wish there was a length between regular and petite as then I wouldn't have to take up all my jeans .

You understand perfectly SA. That's exactly why I daren't drink. I feel like it's a struggle to stay on an even emotional keel at the best of times, so drinking could open up a real can of worms. I don't want to risk opening the floodgates because I don't want to get to a place that I can't get back from.

I also love my wrapping paper box - rolls of paper, tissue paper, crepe paper and tags. I have another huuuuuuuge box for gift bags. I inherited my p-i-l's stash and haven't had to buy a gift bag for years between that stash and reusing the ones that come in. V helpful to have like with like as it makes it easy to find if I have something. Too many years of spending money buying stuff simply cos I couldn't find the stuff i owned.
Talking of which, for many many years i have used the idea of a present box and have a notebook that I write names of those I have to buy for in and mark off as I buy them (or think of ideas for presents). Started this as i ended up buying several gifts for one person and nothing for another a couple of years so still faced the mad last minute scramble for presents. This way I am much more organised which leads to happier mind.

@Daisy It is definitely easier to find things when they're all in one place and does save you buying replacement items, so storage boxes could be seen as an MSE purchase

I'm about the same height, with jeans I either just cut them and go for the frayed hippy look or fold them up a tiny bit meaning to get round to taking them up properly but invariably they end up going in the bucket after several years of wear still with the wee uneven turnups. :rotfl::rotfl:
