Well done on getting loads of the paperwork sorted!
I hope you have a nice weekend away and it's not too difficult.
Thanks Jwil
. I'll be okay when I'm away I expect, it's the packing and the thought of going that stresses me

I did my weekly food shop this morning. I spent £61.70 on the week's food and got £4 off with the voucher I was sent :money:.
Then I bought some Christmas bits with some other vouchers I had and spent £7.37 on those. I got one pack of Pringles (half price), six J2Os (half price), two packs of mince pies (two for £1.50) and some Dove body wash as a Christmas pressie for DS3 (half price) :money:.
So I feel a bit more prepared for Christmas day and Boxing day
.
The weather has turned awful here now, wet, windy and gloomy . It's just as well I don't have to go out again.
This afternoon will be allocated to finishing the accounts, just the thought is stresssing me
but I want them finished today (hopefully) and handed over tomorrow afternoon. I always breath a sigh of relief once I've off loaded them to the accountants and walked away. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Just as well the weather has turned gloomy down your way, HH, as you won't be tempted to go out. I'm sorry part of the accounts job is still looming but I'm sure you'll get it finished soon and can forget about it for another year:beer:
Going with your stepdad to visit his sister is such a kind thing for you to do, especially as you don't really feel up to it:A. You may actually enjoy it once you set off though, it's a change of scene after all:j. Often the thought of doing something we aren't keen on is worse than the reality when it happens IMO. I've often dreaded doing something but forced myself to and then was surprised how much I enjoyed it and was really glad I made the effort. I'm sure stepdad and his sister will benefit greatly from your kindheartedness and company, plus your niece who you're staying with overnight.
OH still isn't back. I haven't a clue yet if he bought a shower or not as he only has a basic mobile phone which is never charged up and I've just spotted it on the dressing table:rotfl:. He's probably having trouble prising open his credit card wallet;)
Just seen the weather forecast for the next few days. Looks as if it's going to be wet and wild in your part of the world, HH:eek:. Take care if you're going to your volunteering tomorrow.0 -
Good progress on the accounts HH, nearly there.
Well done on the Christmas bargains.
I'm going to start tomorrow with buying some Christmas cards
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I'll probably be fine as soon as we drive off
and it will be nice to see my niece and stepdad's elderly sister.
But I feel like I've got enough on my plate at the moment with processing my mum's death, money worries, accounts, Christmas and volunteering to cope with
.
I'll be glad I went, but also glad when it's done
.
I hope OH returns eventually, with a shower :rotfl:. Does his wallet have cobwebs on it like Ernie Wise? :rotfl:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

            I'm feeling completely stressed out
. I've spent all afternoon going through hundreds of receipts and dozens of statements to mark up relevant entries, give extra info, etc. By the end I felt as if my head was going to explode
.
But I've done all I can now re the accounts. The rest is up to DH who needs to print off some online stuff only he can access. I need to nag him to do that and if he does it, then I should be able to drop the accounts off tomorrow afternoon :j.
After that I did a long PA survey which was so slow to load pages it kept timing out, which stressed me even more . But I finally managed to submit it.
Now I'm trying to come down off the ceiling and unwind
. Deep breaths. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

My day has just taken a turn for the better
. I only needed 70 points to cash out on YG but thought I wouldn't manage it before Xmas. But then I got a 25 point survey just now. When I finished it I noticed another survey on the site for 50 points, so I did that and now I've cashed out my £50 .
Now at least one of the kids can have Xmas presents
