Agree with this on the fitbit. They are fantastic. They usually ask for a photo and send you a complete new one.
I would procrastinate that long too. x
I will sort out Fitbit soon I promise

            No need to be sorry.
Was nodding along as I read your 'rant'!
Was interesting that miraculously the statements were found and no charge needed when the law and your rights was mentioned!
When next call you may not need to start over if you got the name and date of this Virgin guy was speaking to. Failing this, the time and date the call to Virgin was made should be enough to locate the convo on your account. You have better things to do than have Virgin staff trying to give you the runaround.0 -

Thanks Zoee that's what we thought . Big companies are so frustrating and then they wonder why they get bad reviews .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I think you've done so well today, HH, to get so much done especially as it's a task you hate. I can understand why you feel stressed now but you'd have felt even worse if your lovely DH hadn't been able to get your laptop working again. At least you're well on the way to having the job done. A couple of days ago you were despairing that it would ever be possible.
I'm a shocking procrastinator myself, always have been:o. I tell myself that I work best when I have a looming deadline and it's true to a certain extent because I always manage to get crucial things finished in the nick of time. Not good for the stress levels though is it? Life would be so much easier if I got on with things as soon as I know about them. Have you noticed how things that have to be done before a deadline always take longer than you anticipated because there's often some last minute snag which you hadn't expected?
I agree with Zoee about Virgin. It's a pity the 'chat' wasn't on the phone as all calls these days seem to be recorded 'for training purposes'. The man who dealt with your DH would definitely have needed some retraining if the interaction had been by phone:eek:.0 -
            Thank you Carboot
. I am feeling much less stressed to have got so much done and I wouldn't have been able to do most of it if DH hadn't mended my computer
.
I'm going away for the weekend too which I'm a bit stressed about. My stepdad wants to visit his elderly sister before Christmas and asked if I'd go with him. She lives in the SE. I said I would go as I haven't seen her for three years and I feel sorry for him having to do everything on his own now
. We're going Saturday, staying with my niece overnight, seeing his sister on Sunday and coming home straight after.
So I'll only be away for one night, but I'm not looking forward to packing and being away. I get easily unsettled at the moment and a bit attached to my routine since my mum died

Well done on sorting the accounts,I'm another procrastinator which is yet another reason why my finances got into such a mess,I'm still guilty of it now,for instance I'm am supposed to sending weekly meter reading to my energy company.....have I done it .......no.......I have also been saying I will sort out my spare room for DGS cot to go in when he comes over, but he is 15 months old now and it's still not done
My craft desk in my living room is covered in clutter and I keep saying I am going to tidy it up but it's still waiting
I've solved that problem though because I was chatting to a FB friend earlier who is also decluttering and I have vowed to do it on Thursday and to make sure it gets done I'm going to post before and after photos, hopefully I can shame myself into doing it:rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940 -
You and your DH have done amazingly. That thing where the printer gives up at the last minute is very familiar to me. How does technology know? But it must do. It always conks out at the worst time. I hate getting locked out of accounts too.
If it's a tiny bit of consolation, you have saved me massive hassles by persuading me never to go near V!rgin.
