We had a late night last night because we were watching Cloud Atlas and it's the longest film in the world! I kept thinking it was about to finish, not realising it was three hours long . I still have no idea what the film is about :rotfl:. Maybe the cider didn't help .
Our boiler is dripping so we need to call the plumber in soon to fix it. It's happened before and wasn't too expensive, so hopefully it's the same problem. Also every time I turn the oven off it triggers the trip switch, so something odd is happening there
.
I had a long list of chores to do today, but probably won't get them all done because I'm tired and my back is a bit achey. So far I've moved yesterday's laundry into the garden to dry, washed some towels, put the clean laundry pile away, sorted out five bags of rubbish in the garden (only 15 to go ) and emptied all the bins. I've also put the dishwasher on and wiped down the surfaces in the kitchen.
That doesn't sound much but it's taken me all morning . Still to do is ironing and shortening some cheapo linen trousers I bought from Mr T (£14). Then we'll pick up DS1 from the station and go to my parents for dinner.
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Doesn't sound much????. Sounds like plenty to me. I wish I'd been half as productive as you so far today. Am not going to do much now, if anything at all, until I cook our dinner this evening as I'm all set to watch the French Open tennis men's final on TV this afternoon. Promises to be a good match but I hope it doesn't go on for 5 sets or OH will be grumbling that his dinner is late:(
I hope your boiler problem doesn't turn out to be too expensive and is a quick fix. We have an oil boiler, sadly no mains gas anywhere near us, and have it serviced every year. It's pretty old now (what isn't in our house?:o) but apart from replacement nozzles it's run sweetly forever. Wonder how much longer that will continue though?
Lucky you having a meal cooked for you by your Mum tonight. I hope you enjoy it and the break from your routine. You certainly deserve it:beer:0 -

Sounds like a busy day to me, I'm working my way through SSs bags of rubbish that he helpfully left when he moved out a few weeks ago.
Socks, I have to plead guilty to insisting that DS1 only has plain black, and DS2 plain grey which makes it easier for matching and then I just buy them ten pairs at a time of the cheapo supermarket ones which are high cotton. Lazy but effective and economical. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

I always buy socks from Primani, no point spending a lot on socks.
Hope the boiler isn't too pricey to fix. Also hope your back gets better soon.
And finally - enjoy your Sunday meal at your parentsI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

An afternoon spent watching tennis sounds lovely. Tennis is the only sport I enjoy watching, especially Wimbledon because it's so relaxing. It reminds me of childhood summers.

I do that with socks too. DS1 has black with an emblem, DS2 has black with grey stripes and DS3 grey with black stripes. I usually get them from Mr T. Now they're grown up they buy their own socks sometimes which is messing with my system :rotfl:.

Thanks SA. I should check out Primani socks.
