Glad the boys are on their way safe and sound
I've never felt the need to do extreme sports - I almost drowned when some idiot threw me in a river aged 15 and that was enough dangerous living for me!
Hope DH takes heed of the doctor's warning.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Thanks both.
That must have been frightening SA. I nearly got swept away swimming in a river estuary when I was eleven, but my dad grabbed my arm at the last minute and pulled me to safety . A scary experience but it didn't put me off swimming in general, just swimming where there are tidal currents. I'd rather stick to a pool now. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Definitely no bungee jumping for me - judging by my reaction to the sort of sudden twists and turns you get on rollercoasters I'm fairly sure that I'd be quite violently sick at some point in the experience, so no.
I wouldn't say no to a parachute jump and actually considered doing a tandem with the Army Tigers freefall team a few years ago but apparently arthritic knees are one of the things that makes them say "Errrr...no" :rotfl:
Hope your boys are now back and that your DH has taken note of the warnings. Tell him from me - eat a bit less, move a bit more. It works.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'm so impressed by you people who do parachute and bungee jumping:T:A. The only activity that involves travelling through the air that I'd be brave enough to do is a leisurely balloon flight. Too old for anything that involves plunging to earth, although I have no arthritis or joint problems. Just cowardice I'm afraid:o
I had a boyfriend in my student days who was a keen member of a potholing club and I went on two descents with them as he was keen for me to share his hobby. I'm not claustrophobic as such and some of the underground caverns we reached were amazing but squeezing through narrow tunnels far underground in near darkness apart from lamps on our helmets was very scary to me:eek:. I really liked him but was quite relieved when the relationship ended as I knew potholing was never going to be a shared hobby.0 -

Thanks EH. A shame your knees stopped you doing a jump.

The thought of potholing terrifies me Carboot, you're very brave to do that. The thought of getting stuck in a narrow tunnel .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hope the DS are nearly home with their dirty washing. I loved it when my DC came home from their travels , you love the thought of the peace and quiet , but you can't wait for them to return safe and sound .

That is so true Cumbria.
DS2 and DS3's coach didn't arrive until 12.30 pm last night and we didn't get to bed until 1.30am! It was so lovely to see them get off the coach. They had a really good holiday and looked very sun tanned considering they'd been to Iceland.
DH and I felt like zombies today after one disturbed night and one late night, but DS3 went to college and DS2 gave his room a big clear out. I don't know where they get their energy from!
I'm looking forward to a very early night tonight, and then I'm volunteering tomorrow morning.
Hope everyone has had a good Thursday.
