Glad the boys are safely back and enjoyed their trip.
After all this talk of extreme sports, someone at work has put a sponsor form for a parachute jump out
Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

The only activity that involves travelling through the air that I'd be brave enough to do is a leisurely balloon flight. Too old for anything that involves plunging to earth, although I have no arthritis or joint problems. Just cowardice I'm afraid:o
I had a boyfriend in my student days who was a keen member of a potholing club and I went on two descents with them as he was keen for me to share his hobby. I'm not claustrophobic as such and some of the underground caverns we reached were amazing but squeezing through narrow tunnels far underground in near darkness apart from lamps on our helmets was very scary to me:eek:. I really liked him but was quite relieved when the relationship ended as I knew potholing was never going to be a shared hobby.
I've done potholing a few times as a kid, no way could I do it now. I'm much more claustrophobic these days!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

I went to bed at 9.00 last night because I was so exhausted and I had nine hours sleep. I felt much better this morning but was flagging a bit towards the end of my volunteering. So I think I need another early night tonight. I did enjoy my volunteering though, I always feel good afterwards
.
DS2 has carried on clearing out his room, which is good but we now have fifteen bin bags of rubbish in the garden . It all needs sorting too as he never seperates recycling . It's going to take me forever to sort that lot, but DH said he would help me.
I managed to get some work done this afternoon and some laundry. DS3 threw away most of his socks and underwear before he came home from Iceland as he couldn't fit them in his rucksack :eek::mad:. Luckily he didn't take all of them!
Have a good Friday everyone.

Hello all ! Pc has been in computer hospital and I seem to have missed so much.
I'm so delighted your boys are back safe, sound and tanned, HHOH. Such a relief, and I bet they had an amazing time (and probably did a couple of things you'd have a heart attack about if you'd known !!). Still, a wonderful experience to add to their lives. When my daughters were at uni I never fretted because I couldn't see what they were doing - I just had to trust in some modicum of good sense. During the holidays I was back to checking where they were going, offering lifts, and always waiting until a friend's front door was actually open when I'd dropped them off.
So many of you seem to have done wonderfully exciting things. The only one I can 'bring to the table', so to speak, is 2 or 3 episodes of dinghy racing when the boyfriend of the time was very keen. We even spent some winter weekends cleaning and varnishing the boat. Boyfriends have a lot to answer for, but then as a non-swimmer (still) I was lucky to be able to do it at all, hanging gamely over the edge in my life-jacket.
We are celebrating significant other's significant birthday tomorrow with a meal out for the 5 of us (not grandson's turn with his mother), with a meal out and a late buffet at home. Am currently cooking salmon, and potatoes for potato salad, at gone midnight !!!0 -

I've never tried dinghy racing or any kind of sailing for that matter.
What strikes me is the things that women do to please their boyfriends! I watched a boyfriend play football once just to be polite, even though I've always hated football :rotfl:. You can see why that relationship didn't last long :rotfl:.
Enjoy your special meal Elizabeth.

Hope you enjoyed your Saturday saunter.
Thanks Beanie.
It was baking hot in town today, I nearly died on the bus home   . I found an excellent copy of the latest Michael Connelly in hardback for £2. Apart from that I spent a fortune on socks for DH, DS1 and DS3. Why are socks so expensive? But a lovely latte from Costalot revived me.
When I got back I cleaned out the furry moron, but found we'd run out of sawdust . DH offered to get some but came back with hay as well whuch we didn't need! The furry moron will have to scoff his hay more quickly to use it up or we're going to have storage problems :rotfl:.
I put the dishwasher on, it's been going on twice a day again since the wanderers returned. Then I discovered we'd run out of clean towels again . I'm surprised the DW and the WM haven't gone on strike in protest . Maybe I'm the one who should go on strike :rotfl:.
DS1 is at a friend's house, so at least there's one less mess maker in the house! It's lucky DH does dinner on a Saturday or it would be beans on toast all round! My feet are killing me .
I need cider .
