jwil said:That's a shame about the positive tests. As far as I am aware you are free regardless on day 10 unless you have a temp or any symptoms. There is no requirement to test at all, so you could have just sat at home for 10 days and then left isolation without doing any tests.Tiredbutdetermined said:I think the negative lateral flows are only needed to get out of isolation early and you come out after 10days regardless. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Just catching up with your diary, sorry to hear your still testing positive. At the start of Covid, my DS1 and his GF who are both nurses and worked with Covid patients were living in a 2 bedroom apartment. His GF caught Covid and was bad with it. They were both in the apartment for 10 days. What made it worse was that the weather was gorgeous but they didn’t have a garden to go into . Thankfully he didn’t get the virus but being stuck in that apartment made them decide to move to a house with a garden, so if they are ever in a similar situation at least they will have the garden.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.008

Well it's Day 8 of isolation. I got up this morning feeling at a complete loose end. I was the first to wake up so I went down and made my own breakfast (wiping everything I touched and opening the window to air the kitchen), and read the news online. After that I felt at a complete loss as to what to do 😔. I didn't feel like reading or watching tv, I felt like going out for a walk or going to the shops or going to work.
In the end I did a bit of dusting and have read some diaries on here to convince myself there is still a world out there. Now I'm restless again. Maybe I should walk up and down the attic stairs a few times to tire me out. I'm used to doing 10,000 steps a day so sitting around all day is hard 😔 . I could do an online work out, but I don't want to jump up and down on the attic floor as I don't know how strong it is.
Another staff member at my work place tested positive last night, it's never ending!

Is the attic conversion a proper one - building regs compliant? If so the floor should be fine. If worried though have a look at the workouts Alice Liveing has done during several of the lockdowns - available on Instagram if you can access that. She specifically made them "no jumping" for the most part so that they suited people in flats etc!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

. Our attic got retrospective permission, but I know it has wooden supporting beams under the floor and not metal ones so I still worry about jumping around up there. I'll look out for those workouts you mention.

I just did two Get Fit With Rick workouts that @Sun_Addict recommended. They are walking/marching workouts. I did 5,000 steps altogether so I feel more settled now and can tolerate sitting down for a while. They were about my level of fitness so were perfect for me, and good for somewhere with limited space too as I could do them standing next to my bed and no eqipment was needed.
