I like Porridge too, Ronnie Barker is v funny without being crass. The film is on bbc iplayer atm, and I did my ironing to it at the weekend. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Yes porridge is very funny....I might just watch the film as a reward for doing jobs tomorrow 👍 thanks for the idea. I’ve been watching the Vicar of Dibley and chuckled at them....I saw a Christmas one advertised so I’m quite happy about that 👍January spends - £587.586

Blimey I had an eventful day yesterday 😮😯 . I didn't sleep very well because I was tired, then the tricky boy was in a horrendous mood 😫. First thing in the morning he emptied his water bottle over his desk 😱. Then he wouldn't do his work properly with me but just scribbled on his worksheets, then he was scribbling on the desk, and then he threw two boxes of bookbags all over the floor 😱, so I had to fetch the deputy head. Then I was on playground duty for morning break for the second day in a row, then at lunchtime a boy had an accident and stood in a puddle in the cloakroom crying and saying he wanted his Dad 😥. I felt like a bit of a failure again for not being able to make the tricky boy do his work 😔, mind you he tore up his worksheets on Monday apparantly when I was in the nice class 🤣 so I suppose scribbling on them is better than tearing them up 🤔. I was glad to come home after lunch. But when I got home I had to help DH to compile paperwork for our accountants as we're very late doing it and I've been getting really anxious about it. Then finally I had to cook. I was so tired by then that I felt tearful 😥. I went to bed at 8pm and turned my light out at 9pm. I woke up at 8am this morning and felt like a new person so I really needed 11 hours sleep.
I felt quite different this today after a long sleep, full of positivity and patience with the children 😀. Although the tricky boy wasn't much better behaved as I was told he ripped out a girl's earring at lunchtime 😱 and emptied his water bottle on the steps at home time (it makes a change from his desk 🤣). Lunchtime went more smoothly (for me anyway) as no child had an accident, the weather was dry and it felt a bit warmer.
When I got home my Christmas crocheted badges had arrived and I'm very pleased with them 😀. I also received a Christmas present from an old primary school friend and it was a face mask made from a holly leaves fabric that she had handmade herself. I fancied having a Christmas face mask but I couldn't justify the expense so it's nice to have one 😀. I've swished the mask and the badges in some warm soapy water to kill any potential virus and put them on the radiator to dry as I thought I'd wear the mask and one of the badges tomorrow.
It's the childrens' Christmas lunch tomorrow and traditionally the TAs and teachers come up to help serve it. I think they'll just get in our way, but never mind 🙄. So tomorrow I'm going to wear the holly face mask, a Christmas pudding badge, my Christmas tree earrings and my penguin tee shirt 🎅🎅🎅 .
I hope everyone is having a gratifying Wednesday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Oh flipping heck to the tricky boy 😱 Makes me wonder how he’ll fare once he gets to big school. Glad you had a good sleep. Reminds me of a boy in DS’s year at primary school who was very hard to handle. DS’s teacher used to say how stressful he was to teach. He ended up in prison as an adult for attempted murder 😱
Hope the Christmas lunch goes well tomorrow, at least you’ve got all the festive gear 🎅I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
The festive gear founds amazing.
Hopefully the tricky boy will be able to join in tomorrow and possibly do his work. It must be very difficult for everyone, including very difficult for him. I wonder if something has changed this week for him to have three days where he's struggled.
Have a lovely day tomorrow dSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

It’s surprising how much better you can feel after a good nights sleep 👍
I’m assuming they have asked for outside advice to help this tricky boy. It sounds as if he needs some individual plans in place to help him. What’s that old saying ‘you can’t fit a round peg in a square hole’
Your crocheted badges sound lovely. It made me remember that I’d seen a pattern for a crocheted Christmas wreath last year and I said I’d have a go at making it.....bit late now for this year and I haven’t a clue where I’d seen it.....might go and investigate 🎄👍January spends - £587.585 -
Oh my goodness, what a day, HHoD! You definitely needed that long sleep. Your Christmassy accessories sound lovely & festive.
