The things you bought from Etsy sound lovely. Plus you’re supporting small businesses. I’ve bought a few bits from there in the past.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

I like the fact that they're sold by small businesses, and in the case of the brooches and masks I've ordered they're handmade by an individual

Waving - caught up on your diary
Found it very interesting about working with the little boy, who obviously finds being in the class room, complete sensory overload at times hence him lying down, and doing more when he’s out the classroom. Thinking of the boy in the A word, as someone who could have been sent to “special” school at 5 ( physical disability) but went to local schools instead. I think inclusion is so important, but recognise for some children, a different set up is needed so they can be their normal selves, and not have to fit in with the stereotypical normal child. I think your work with him is fantastic.
Brooches sound fab.... as do masks in Liberty print....As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
What does the saying say.... When life hands you lemons, make lemonade
Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or
Fake it, to you Make It

I agree about Etsy, I bought masks from there too, in lovely patterns, and it is nice to support little cottage industries.
Also found a tree decoration from there that is personalised to show cartoon pictures of your cats in Xmas outfits (in this case the 3 cats of DD1) and it says, 'We've been good cats all year!'
I've done all my Xmas shopping online and all but 2 presents to my family have been delivered. I also was a little disappointed that my Asda delivery was to be the 19th (closest available to Xmas), but as Sainsburys seem to be even worse, it now seems pretty good ! It's only the two of us, and a lot of the food is home-made (chestnut stuffing and red cabbage casserole in freezer), so it's more a question of ingredients.
I suggested to DH that we meet my brother half-way for a picnic, but he is not keen, so that's another family meeting out of the window. I'm determined to enjoy what we do have, but DH's paranoid anxiety about seeing people does get me down at times. Sorry to clutter up your diary with my complaints, HH. I've spoken to lots of people on the phone this week which definitely helps.7 -

Your Etsy shopping sounds really nice . I got a door wreath on Etsy for £7.00 a bargain and it is lovely.A friend's SIL has become very anxious during Covid he won't see anyone , not even outside. As you say I wonder what effect all this will have on people , especially those who already suffer with social anxiety.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.6
