Found it very interesting about working with the little boy, who obviously finds being in the class room, complete sensory overload at times hence him lying down, and doing more when he’s out the classroom. Thinking of the boy in the A word, as someone who could have been sent to “special” school at 5 ( physical disability) but went to local schools instead. I think inclusion is so important, but recognise for some children, a different set up is needed so they can be their normal selves, and not have to fit in with the stereotypical normal child. I think your work with him is fantastic.
Brooches sound fab.... as do masks in Liberty print..... It is certainly an interesting experience working with him. He appears to have physical as well as emotional and learning difficulties. I think some aspects of ordinary school are good for him but other aspects are harmful to him. It's swings and roundabouts.

Enjoy your Etsy. It's nice to support independentsSunshine_girl2 said:Your Etsy shopping sounds really nice . I got a door wreath on Etsy for £7.00 a bargain and it is lovely.A friend's SIL has become very anxious during Covid he won't see anyone , not even outside. As you say I wonder what effect all this will have on people , especially those who already suffer with social anxiety.
My masks have been despatched so I'm looking forward to them arriving.

Yesterday I did some ironing, more washing, cleaned the bath and shower, and then relaxed with my book (I've finished the DI Banks series so I've started the Cooper and Fry series by Stephen Booth now) and some films. We watched Batchelor Knight with Cary Grant, White Christmas with Bing Crosby, and two Porridge Christmas specials. It's nice to introduce DS1 to some old films and classic comedies. My favourite Cary Grant films are Bringing Up Baby with Katharine Hepburn and My Favourite Wife; they are so funny and DS1 loves them too 🤣 .
We woke up to frost on the windows and car again this morning ❄(and our bedroom has no heating 😨). School was fine and I felt a bit warmer as I wore a vest top under my outfit and the extra layer really helped. It was just as welll as the radiators in my classroom wouldn't come on 🙄 so the caretaker is going to try bleeding them. I remembered my gloves luckily 🧤. I was on playground duty at morning break and the tricky boy pulled a girl's hair and threw a boy's hat on a roof, sigh 🙄. We had lovely sunshine which was pleasant and warmed me up a bit ☀️. Overall it was a fairly uneventful day for school.
The children are going to have their Christmas lunch on Thursday, so I think I'll wear my penguin tee shirt and my Christmas tree earrings that day to help with the festive mood 🎅. Last year they said us meal time assistants could have a free pudding on Christmas lunch day, but this year we wouldn't have time to eat it, so if it's offered again this year I'll pass on it again. Scraping all those dirty plates doesn't make me feel like eating anyway.
I hope everyone is having a magnificent Monday 🙂 .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Glad you got to watch some good films and programmes. I watched White Christmas the other day - essential viewing at Christmas!🎄. Love Cary Grant's old films as well - Arsenic and Old Lace is one of my faves!I hope the caretaker gets the rads working. Probably just need bleeding as you say. On the plates subject again, I can never understand people who say they finish off leftovers on their kid’s plates, usually people trying to lose weight. Can’t say I’ve ever been tempted 🤢I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

I've never eaten my children's leftovers as they usually looked revolting when they'd finished eating them 🤢.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Although once, us having the rule that if you got down from the table it was to be assumed you'd finished, DD1 thought she'd play with something and come back. By that time it was scraped into the kitchen bin.
I caught her half-way through the afternoon trying to pick it out ! I have to say she never did it again !!6
