I got all my (76, and my biro ran out !!)) Xmas Cards posted during the week, thank goodness, with DH kindly posting the neighbours' ones through their letterboxes. I don't know why, but I hate doing it, so was thrilled when he offered a few years ago.
Stamps are iniquitously expensive, AND they're going up in January. It seems so unfair when quite a few of my Xmas correspondents are elderly, on low incomes, buy cards in boxes to save money, some aren't online, yet they have to pay what must seem like a small fortune for the 'luxury' of staying in touch for the sake of past times spent together.
There was a time when if you didn't seal the envelope you got a special rate, but that disappeared years ago.5 -
The cost of stamps make it an expensive card. I know I don’t send or receive half as many as I used to. I think it makes the ones I do get all the more precious......that said I need to write a list tomorrow and do something about sending mine out.
Hairy get as much rest as you can whilst doing all the things you need to do 👍January spends - £587.585 -

I slept very badly last night because I was still feeling tired and stressed after my week in the difficult class, my thoughts felt in a turmoil and my feet still felt sore 😞. I'm sure I'll sleep better tonight though.
I had to go to Mr M to buy antihistamines, satsumas and bananas and ended up spending £104 😳😱 . DH kept adding things to my list before I went and when I was in there I realised our next Mr T delivery isn't due for another week so I needed to buy enough to last a week. I bought two pack of 24 diet pepsees as they were reduced to £6.50 and two lots of Coster coffee pods as they were two for £8. I also got a big pack of 24 toilet rolls for £7. I got a few chocolates to wrap up for Christmas stocking filllers including some Lndt bears. With the special offers and my school discount my bill went down from £120 to £104 which I was pleased with 🙂. I thought it would be heaving with people but it wasn't too bad, perhaps because it was only around 10am.
After that I sorted out two washes to go on, hung them to dry and emptied the kitchen bins. I had my weekly chat with stepdad via a video chat, and my aunt popped around with some presents and cards so we had a long socially distanced chat on the doorstep. I really enjoying seeing her 😀 as I've only seen the people I live with and colleagues at school since half term. I do miss seeing family and video chats are not the same. I'm hoping I'll be able to go for some walks with aunt and uncle, stepdad and wife, and my niece over the Christmas holidays (not all at the same time or it would be too many people I think), although we'll have to see what the weather is like. It was a lovely sunny day today so it's a pity I was feeling too tired to go for a walk.
I've tried not to do too much today though as I'm so overtired and my feet are still sore, although getting slightly better. I've enjoyed reading my book (the third one in the Copper and Fry series) and putting my feet up. Now DH is cooking, the Netflicks birchwood fire is crackling on the tv and the Christmas lights are twinkling so I feel very cosy 🎄.
I hope everyone in forumland is having an enjoyable Saturday 🙂 .

The badges are lovely 😊 I buy my coffee pods from Amazon now as they work out much cheaper than the shops, my last lot worked out at £3.20 a pack, might be worth a look.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Those badges are lovely. They look gorgeous.
Sorry your feet are aching, hopefully they'll start to ease and will be ok by now.
That saving in Mr M is great. I don't have one that near to me. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x5
