I didn't want to wake up this morning but I showed immense will power and kicked myself out of bed after the alarm went off.
I enjoyed my day in the nice normal class 🙂. I spent ages reading the children a Michael Morpurgo book because the teacher had accidentally thrown away some important papers and was rooting through the bins in the playground 😳. I also read them some more of the same book before hometime whilst the teacher did some work on her laptop and I've got up to page 40 now. I hope I get to finish the book this week as it's getting quite exciting 😁.
In addition to my normal running around, I got out twelve PE mats that are larger than I am so that the class could do yoga in the hall, then afterwards I had to disinfect them and put them all away again. So I think I've done my exercise for today 😇. I've done 12,916 steps anyway even though DH gave me a lift to and from school. The children are very excited about Christmas at the moment so hopfully we'll have a reasonably laid back week, although they were still doing maths this morning. I was supporting a child and I think it would be easier to teach maths to a cat to be honest 🤣😂. The staffroom is full of chocolates and biscuits due to December birthdays, so it's lucky I don't usually feel hungry when I'm working!
The tricky boy had been kicked out of his classroom by the time the register had been taken, which wasn't a good start to the day and I heard that at lunchtime he threw a child's coat in some yoghurt 🙄. Thank goodness I was in the nice class today!
I'm really enjoying relaxing on the sofa now all warm and cosy. One day down and four to go until I break up for Christmas 🎅🎄⛄ . I hope everyone is forumland is having an enjoyable day 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I was in the difficult class this morning, heavy rain was forcast and I thought I'd have to go back at the end of the day for a staff meeting 😭. As it turned out the day was better than I expected. The tricky boy did all his work and didn't have a single meltdown 🎉, the rain stopped and the sun came out 🎉, and the deputy head said she didn't mind if I missed the staff meeting 🎉. Result 😁.
I should find out this week what's happening after Christmas and whether I'll be needed for TA cover. Fingers crossed that I'll get at least some work 🤞.
Only three more days to go until I break up and I'm looking forward to a rest and some more time with my family. We need to post three parcels and some vouchers to relatives before Friday, but they're all wrapped and ready to go as soon as we find time to go to the post office. The work that saved Christmas is keeping DH so busy that he's been working evenings as well as daytimes, but it will finish on Thursday evening so he can relax then too. .
I hope everyone in forumland has had an agreeable day 🎅.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
