The jobs I never took were the ones that you had to fill in the questionaire before the interview. One for a bookkeeper asked if you would steal money. I mean who is actually going to say that they would steal (well apart from someone who really didn't want the job & if they told JSA would probably be kicked off it). I didn't even finish the questionaire & told the receptionist that I would never work for that company, she seemed surprisingly sypathetic!0

It looks like a lot of us have had some weird and (not so) wonderful interview experiences:eek:. I hope it's given you hope of getting a job yourself, HHOD, rather than putting you off
We haven't seen/heard from you for while HHOD:(. I hope all is well with you and the family and it's just because you've something more interesting to do than come on here. Whatever you're doing today I hope it recharges your batteries:beer:0 -
Thanks everyone
. If I was offered a job I would stay until I retire which is 11 years, so hopefully that would go in my favour.

I've been feeling really tired this week due to my cold and learning lots of new things. Plus we've had three partial wet playtimes which is really exhausting. I've wondered a couple of times this week if I can cope with all this extra work, but I think it's just tiredness and my cold talking. I'm doing three separate jobs which is a lot of information to keep in my head, plus a lack of resources makes it much harder. I think my cold just tipped me over the edge into feeling exhausted and a bit lacking
.
To stop me feeling overwhelmed at school sometimes I've come up with a mantra which is "stop, think, understand, evaluate". I think saying that to myself when I feel overwhelmed will give me a bit of breathing space to get my head together and feel calm, rather than rushing from one activity to another and feeling stressed.
I also began to feel a bit worried that there may be internal politics going on at school that I know nothing about, as I'm a bit naive about that type of thing and just want everyone to be nice to each other and like each other. Not very realistic I know. However DS1 said he'd read a good life hack online, to avoid getting involved in work politics just say nice things about everyone behind their backs. I thought that's a really good strategy
. Anyway I shouldn't worry about things I'm not aware of. I'm probably overthinking everything.
Hopefully a weekend will rest me and give me time to get over my cold so that I feel more on top of things tomorrow. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

New learning situations can be very tiring, especially if you're physically under par. However, you appear to be getting a lot of experience and knowledge under your belt which means it can only get easier.
Your husband's life hack works in all sorts of situations, not just work, and the world would a nicer place if all resisted the temptation to be catty about others.0 -

Thanks Elizabeth. I wish people were kinder about each other and less critical. But also sometimes people can be over sensitive and think they're being criticized when they're not. Working with people can be very complicated. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Yesterday morning I met stepdad for coffee and then did a small top up shop in Mr T on the way home.
In the afternoon we did some organising at home. We've had two chests of drawers in our living room for two weeks  so I made room for them in the bedroom and DS2 helped us to carry them upstairs. It's lovely to have more storage and the living room looks much more spacious now. It was all quite tiring though so I decided that Sunday needed to be a relaxing day.
This morning I ironed some tops for work and folded up some clean washing. Apart from that I've just been watching tv and reading my book. I'm hoping that a relaxing day will recharge my batteries so that I go to school tomorrow feeling alert and energetic. Well I can hope anyway!
I hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

Good to hear you're having a relatively relaxing day. You deserve it and there's no point trying to cram housework and home-based tasks into every single minute of your weekends. Otherwise it's easy to feel just as tired when the new working week starts as you did when the previous one ended:eek:
I know quite a lot about your reading tastes and I share a lot of them, although not really the historical fiction. I was sad to hear last night that Mary Higgins Clark had just died aged 92 I think she was. I came to her books very late, mainly through picking something at random from the mobile library, and really enjoyed them as not too heavy escapist reading:j. I was delighted to see she was very prolific so there are lots more to read when I see them in the library or a charity shop:j.0 -
I think one of the good things about some of our interview experiences is that it can give you a good idea of who you definitely DON'T want to work for. I think DS1s thoughts are spot on. Really based on the saying that if you can't say anything nice then say nothing at all. Hope someone else is cooking tea today!0
