Enjoy your evening .
Thanks Sunshine. I did take lots of photos of the inside of the house a few days after my Mum died as stepdad starting clearing out her personal things very quickly and I wanted to remember the house exactly as she left it.
I would like to take some photos of the outside of the house and the garden though, so thank you for reminding me of that. Once it's sold I won't be able to go there again, so I'd like to remember every aspect of the garden. My Mum loved her garden and I have so many happy memories of it. It's so sad for it to pass out of the family
.
I expect I'll sleep better tonight as I got up early, had a very busy day at school and walked home. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

. I've always been an overthinker although I'm much better than I used to be. Overanalysing things is often a bad thing I think so I do try not to do it. I've also got to try and stop being a perfectionist at work as time and resources don't allow for it.
SA is right - just get your jobs done and take each day as it comes. I don't think I've ever worked in a place where all the staff get on. And men I think are worse in my experience - although of course it's 'constructive criticism' when they're pulling someone to shreds! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks SA. It's mainly women at my school which I prefer in a way as men can be bossy. Yes I'll carry on being friendly and helpful and do my job to the best of my ability, as I always have.

My experience is the opposite of yours, HH:rotfl:. I've worked with staffs of mainly or all women and hated it for all the cattiness that often happened. Working with a large proportion of male staff members was always preferable for me and I didn't ever find many of them bossy. Some of the women could boss for Britain:eek:
I know all us ladies experienced/still experience hormonal changes each month:( but sometimes on all women staff emotional outbursts from one or another was horrendous:eek:. It used to remind me of a 'joke' that a male colleague used to trot out when he was having a particularly rough time dealing with some of the female staff at such times. ''What's the difference between a terrorist and a woman with PMT?......You can negotiate with a terrorist''. This was in the days when terrorism wasn't such a scourge of our lives and he wouldn't get away with that sort of 'joke' these days;)0 -

I started working more closely on a desk with men some twenty years ago. Up until then I had worked closely with women (both in a factory and in offices) and didn't really actually 'sit' with men (even though I reported to some) as they were in higher managerial positions. Overall, it wasn't too bad - there are always some women who tend to be cattier/bossier than others and can stir the pot. The thing is not to let it bother you too much and don't let anyone boss you!
My big surprise came when I actually started working alongside men in the office - I was quite gobsmacked how catty they can be about each other. In fact, I've often remarked 'miaow' when they've been doing a hatchet job on someone and also offered to get them some saucers of milk! This usually stops them in their tracks (though not for long!) and they also look quite affronted as though I couldn't possibly be referring to them!:eek:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Everyone has different experiences it seems. I know men and women can both be bossy and unpleasant depending upong their personalities. I definitely think that some men can be as emotional and b****y as some women.
Generally speaking I think I'm lucky at my school as most people are very pleasant and nice to work with.

Yesterday I was at school in the morning. Despite sleeping well I felt really tired and dopey, as if my brain was stuffed with cotton wool. I got some laundry washed and hung up in the afternoon and I got my hair cut in the late afternoon. The hair washer gave me a lovely head massage that really relaxed me. My hair looks much better too as it's a nicer shape and without all the split ends. It's not cheap but it's worth it for the feel good factor
.
Today was another half day and luckily I felt more alert and more like myself. It was another sunny day which always makes me feel better. I felt like my hair looked good too which always increases your confidence.
DH and DS1 have caught my cold. Mine is gradually getting a bit better but it will be the weekend before it's completely gone I think.
I put the mortgage money in the account yesterday ready for the standing order to go out. We had our annual statement in January and owe £36,000 which is a lot less than our debts were . If we could just earn a bit more money each month we could pay it off more quickly than 9 years. I'm earning more while I'm doing this cover but I need DH to bring in more than he is at the moment.
The evenings are noticeable lighter and my crocus buds are appearing in my garden pots, as are some narcissus buds. It almost feels as if spring is on the way with the lovely sunshine we've had for the last two days. I'm looking forward to bringing the blue pot of daffodil bulbs back from Mum and stepdad's old house, hopefully at the weekend. I think Janurary is the hardest month to get through.
I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday so far.
